On September 9, 2009, while addressing a joint session of Congress, President Obama told the nation that his so-called health care reform legislation (Obamacare) would not cover illegal aliens, saying: “The reforms I'm proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally.”

No sooner than did this questionable promise roll off of Obama’s silver tongue, did Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) shout from the House floor what many of us were thinking, when he yelled: “You lie!”

Now, Wilson’s indictment seems to have been proven right.

On Tuesday, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced it was awarding a $28.8 million Obamacare grant to 67 community health centers, many of which offer free care to ‘migrant workers,’ in other words…illegal aliens.

HHS spokeswoman Judy Andrews told CNSNews.com that “approximately $8.5 million will be used by 25 New Access Point awardees to target services to migrant and seasonal farm workers.”

Andrews continued: “Health centers do not, as a matter of routine practice, ask about or collect data on citizenship or other matters not related to the treatment needs of the patients seeking health services at the center. The Program’s authorizing statute does not affirmatively address immigration status.”

Of course, illegal aliens taking advantage of the American taxpayer is nothing new.

In 2007, Judicial Watch’s president Tom Fitton reported that Mexico directs their citizens who live in the U.S. illegally to use taxpayer funded clinics in a dozen cities. The program is called Ventanillas de Salud (Health Windows), and is implemented in American cities which have Mexican consulates.

The government of Mexico has operated the program for some time.

Fitton wrote the following:

“Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, San Diego and Indiana are among the cities where Mexican consulates operate the health referral system which annually costs U.S. taxpayers billions of dollars. In Los Angeles County alone, illegal immigrants cost taxpayers nearly $440 million in health services annually and a whopping $1.1 billion statewide.

The Mexican consul in Los Angeles proudly announced that nearly 300,000 Mexicans in the area have benefited from his government's health referral program, which he says actually saves the county money by encouraging immigrants to seek preventive care rather than waiting for more expensive emergency treatment.

The Southern California operation promises to assess "consulate clients" for eligibility to government-funded health insurance and other primary care services and offers free legal assistance to those who are denied coverage. Its goal is to improve access to health services for immigrants of Mexican origin by formalizing a health education, medical home referral and insurance enrollment program.”

Obama's pledge was just another well-"calibrated" half-truth. Because Obama's proposal did not explicitly include illegal immigrants, Obama could technically claim "the reforms I am proposing would not apply to [illegal immigrants]", even though HE KNEW the only way to ensure immigrants didn't receive the new entitlement was to specifically exclude them in the language of the bill, which he did not. Of course, Obama also knew that illegal immigrant children are entitled to receive benefits and equal protection as a matter of judicial precedent; but since it was established precedent, Obama could technically claim that "the reforms I am proposing would not apply to [illegal immigrants]" because, technically, they did not.

This is standard convoluted lawyer-speak. The spirit and intent is an obvious lie, even though the language is technically not.

Nice try - one of the problems is Ventanillas de Salud, which has been a problem in California and other places - as to funding. Yes - illegal immigrants us it.

Additionally, seasonal migrant workers (many of their legal status is questionable to begin with) were NEVER intended to receive subsidized healthcare.

That is the point.

(CNSNews.com) - The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced on Tuesday that it has awarded $28.8 million to 67 community health centers with funds from the Obamacare health reform law.

Of that $28.8 million, "approximately $8.5 million will be used by 25 New Access Point awardees to target services to migrant and seasonal farm workers," Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Spokeswoman Judy Andrews told CNSNews.com. HRSA is a part of HHS.

Andrews said that grant recipients will not check the immigration status of people seeking services.

In Az the traitors who need to be voted out are:

Raul grijalva. This is mr. boycott himself. This is the guy who called for a boycott against his own state when the anti illegal bill, sb1070 passed. You can view him on youtube calling for the boycott.

John mccain. This guy has also ben on record saying that he will not deport illegals. Of course this is in regards to people who are here illegally yet have anchor children who are fighting these manufactured wars.

Kristen sinema. She is sympathetic to illegals.

Steve gallardo. I think thats how his name is spelled. Another who is sympathetic to illegals.

Gabrielle giffords. I dont recall how she voted for sb1070, but she did vote yes for the dream/amnesty act.

And lest I remind everyone that sb1070 almost identically mirrors federal law and states that racial profiling is prohibited.

There are others but I currently do not have the list in front of me. THe list being who voted no for sb1070.

These people need to be voted out. We need representatives that advocate following our laws, not rewarding people who break them.

 

If they are not here illegally they don't have to work.
