No, the picture shows how most people celebrate the holiday. Most of what is celebrated during Christmas is anything but Christian. It is simply a means for the exploitative forces of business to convince people that they must spend more money on things that neither they nor their receivers need. I loathe the holiday for no other reason than it extreme commercialism. People shouldn't wait for one day out of the year to spend time with their friend, family, and give other's love and gifts. It is a business man's delight, the extraordinary exploitation of a single holiday for the means of reaping a massive profit.
And, so, YOU dont and never have sent out Valentine's Day gifts to a close friend, or a Mother's Day card to YOUR Mother, which are samewise exploitive to get consumer's $$$, I guess then...YOU might want to try Cuba for some socialistic consensus....
That is b/c your clueless. Christians don't worship trees. The tree is nothing more then a symbol of life. It stays green all year, ala...everlasting life. Worshipping trees.....lmao!!! Saint Nicholas was a real person. Ever read about his saintly life? No, I didn't think so.
I prefer to show my affection towards people year around instead of gravitating towards one commercialized day. No one needs Cuba to exercise common sense.
I would expect that kind of 'bland' answer from you. Your words come out so unemotional and 'stiff' in your posts, that I cant imagine you prying your arms and fingers away from your sides and giving anyone even a hug....
While I enjoy the speculation, it is inaccurate. Is the prospect of simply showing affection to people year round (regardless of silly holidays) a difficult concept to grasp?
I know right? I am certain she simply hates that the fact that I cook delicious food, later talking over Pinot Noir, bread, goat cheese, until the wee hours of the morning. Glorious. I suppose some of us can be romantic on our own free will, separated from silly holidays suggesting that we do so.
1) You cook instead of treating her out? 2) Pinot Noir.....in a box? 3) bread ..... With or w/o 'water?' 4) goat cheese----poor farmers make that. 5) wee hours of the morning? Must be the indigestion hangover & lower tract probs from all that 'good food'.... Sounds like an Archie Bunker night out!
If you mean Valentine's Day..thats for the smitten and newly weds......the old married folks call it, "I buy her/him candy so that "I" can eat some of it"....
Why take her out if I can put my efforts into making a fantastic meal? So much more personal if either you make the meal or the two of you make it together working towards a shared goal. Plowbuster is my favorite thus far. Wine obviously. Toast the bread a bit, butter, garlic, maybe a bit of onion power, spread some goat cheese on..... maybe a bit of hummus too for added flavor. Simply delicious. Oh so very delicious though, substantially more expensive than regular cheese. So I am not sure what you are basing that on. I simply pity your lack of taste. But I suppose conversation with good company is not for everyone? Maybe I should go to the bars and hit on drunken women with a Coors Lite in hand? Hmmmmm.......
Haha! So true, so true. Been married 11 years and have never bought a thing for my wife on Valentine's. Valentine's is for single people looking to get laid once in any given year. Ron White: "Diamonds. That will shut her up!"!...lol.
Women see thru that male lingo as 'cheap!' I've heard of 'Sodbuster,' but... Garlic & onion powder must contribute to "the wee hours of the morning." Poor farmers in most 3rd world countries make their own...you must be one of the dumb Americans who pays big $ for the eclectic name?! I prefer Sam Adams Lager, but will throw down a Bud Lite, or anything that says 'Beer' on it. A true beer drinker will never turn down any free beer. And as can be seen from my prolific postings, I'm never at a lack for conversation (on 'my' part)--in fact, I can also carry it for two!
I spend just as much either way. Maybe you chase the wrong women? I would suggesting looking up Plowbuster, their Chardonnay is supposed to be delicious as well. Supply and demand. There are far fewer goat cheese producers than regular dairy cheese producers. It is a little more than just an exciting name, the flavor is far removed from "typical" cheese. Hmmmmm.... I may have had the Sam Adams Lager, I can't remember. Beer wise, I gravitate towards black and red Ale. New Belgium's 1554 Black Ale is awesome. Simply delicious. I can't do Lite beers *shudders*.
Lulz True. But, my drive is an hour to see my woman friend, might as well make the most of the time I am there. Ha.
Wolfie from his avatar and diet sounds like he is some kind of a Bohemian, or a wannabe Hippie who was born 30 yrs too late...women might 'date' guys like that, but they dont marry them.
I would need to smoke weed to be a hippy, so I suppose I fail the first test. Marriage is a long ways off, I certainly don't feel like settling down too early. Still too many things on the agenda, though I suppose marriage and a couple children do appear on the ole' agenda.
