It is a vast left wing conspiracy to destroy the 75% of Americans who are Christian.

That makes a lot of sense.

How are the promotions attacks exactly?

Promoting atheism is by definition attacking theism, just the same as promoting Christianity is attacking all groups that are not Christian.

Where does it say in the NT to attack all non-Christian groups! That is your paranoia. Christianity is all about 'promoting the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Sorry, but your ideology failed again..

Just 'one' example, most signs they want to put up next to the nativity are verbiage attacking pretty much everything related to Christianity

Yes, because atheism is alone in having signs. I pass by a sign that says "Jesus is real" and "Hell is real" every time I drive home from school.

Is the city paying for it? Of course not....another 'weak argument' for an opportunity to attack Christianity.

If it is so obvious, why do they need to state it?

    ...
    Why not?

Why would any organization need to state any message? Meth is obviously harmful, yet I see those billboards all over Denver. Do you have the same issue with those?

Because people have no reason. They fell more comfortable believing in the mythical than the reasonable.

Amazing you have to explain the bleeding obvious to people.

I will post a debate/theists crying conversation from my Facebook.

It is easier to think that everything is just as they assume, rather then research further, or worse, ever have their beliefs questions. Case in point, a full blown melt-down over my (and a friends) assertion that the Christmas tree is pagan and has no basis in Jesus. Turns out that comment was really a vast conspiracy to convince people to reject god.

    Amusing.

I’ve notice when I do debate theist on FB, they always want to keep it philosophical. As soon as I bring up facts (like evolution) they cut and run.

    Do you get that too?

BTW, Wolfie, I suggest that to help you 'cope' with the Christmas season, and to survive all the Christian attacks, that you add some 'shrooms' to your goat cheese, bread, and also double up on the wine! Shud help you with your 'sufffering'...

Yes, why cant they just see that you are right about everything? Why do they have to have their own opinion?

You are entitles to your own opinion. But you are not entitled to your own set of facts. And the facts say that jc is a myth.

Do you vote? If you do, then you are a registered voter. If you are a registered voter, then you have explicitly and implicitly agreed to this system of governance and because of that explicit and implicit agreement, then you have already agreed that the winner of the election has the 'right' to speak for his/her constituents. Once a man/woman accepts that office elected to, all the people within his/her voting district are his/her constituents and He/She has the right to speak for those people. Like it or lump it.... if you are a voter, you agreed to those conditions. If you are not a voter, then you have no right to complain... your vote could have made the legal difference that would have favored you.

Not for who gets to speak for all atheists or represent atheist interests, no.

I'm not going to enter into an atheist vs Christian bunfight, but I am curious to know precisely how fewer Christian hoardings in one public park, ruined Christmas for roughly 90,000 people in an area covering 8,415 square miles. Does every Santa Monican visit that park daily? Is it some sort of local shrine? Hyperbole seldom assists in making a case.

How can pepole asking other people to use reason be considered extremist?

Asking people to follow a cult sounds alot more extreme to me.

I haven't ever brought the subject up, someone just had a silly "WE HAVE OUR CUSTOMS. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, LEAVE. I WILL PACK YOUR BAGS FOR YOU!" about how there is a vast conspiracy to take Christ out of Christmas, blah, blah, blah. Just the lowest common denominator demonstrating an inability to utilize just a little bit of critical thinking.

Very Christian like too, seems to love her neighbors like Christ. /sarcasm

I am intrigued by your constant rants that have little to do with the thread.

By promoting one belief system, you marginalize all others as false. Do I have to spell it out to you? This is very, very simple stuff.
