Yes, you are correct, dont mess with a guy who brings an assault rifle to a protest. BUT, Kyle holds the lions share of the responsibility because He has NO REASON to go to the protest, let alone going with an assault rifle. He took the assault rifle to the protest to get attention, and he got it. There is no viable reason a minor would go to a protest with a clearly visible assault rifle slung over his shoulder unless he wanted to get attention. The entire situation doesn't happen if Kyle doesn't bring the assault rifle to the protest. HE provoked the situation by doing just that

Sorry, but no assault rifle was used. Kyle’s rifle does not have a select fire feature, only offering single shot and safe. No automatic fire setting which is a requirement for an assault rifle.

And if he had no business being there, neither did those he shot. The entire situation doesn’t happen if those fools don’t attack him. It swings both ways.

If your feelings get hurt about a guy with an AR, my suggestion would be not to attack him. The only escalation would be the 3 CONVICTED FELONS that decided to attack Rittenhouse without cause. Just because their feelings were hurt, didn't give them any right to confront or attack Rittenhouse.
As far as I am concerned, they got what they asked for.

 

He was smart to bring protection. Who else would protect him from the violence heaped on Kyle? Do you honestly discount the threats made against Kyle by the angry hostile Rosenbaum? The other death was when Kyle was smacked with a weapon. And the final guy pointed his gun at Kyle. So there were a fair number there who were also armed.

Which was clean graffiti, put out fires and keep property safe by standing in the way of property and the rioters. Those who were looking to burn and destroy didn't like that at all. It threatened their power over the situation. That's why Rosenbaum confronted him. That's why they zoned in on the guns. They had no power, and they hated it.

We need MORE Kyles. People who would look to keep property and people safe. Who want to help. Not more Rosembaums. People just looking to cause chaos.
