Why, because your claim of mechanical equilibrium is complete BULSH. Mechanical equilibrium assumes forces are a push and that all factors are static. Well, in the case of the WTC, they weren't. While the two masses may have achieved temporary mechanical equilibrium there was on factor still be influenced by heat. While the above 20 floors continued to force down and the first impacted continued to hold steady, it's structure was being undermined by the fires compromising the strength of the steel and ultimately, the helping components of the building.

Not to mention, the mass and inertia of moving top 20 floors was much more than the mass of the first floor,it impacted, could hold back.

Looks like you STILL don't understand how to properly apply Newton's Law. That upper section should have never reached the ground right? The lower portion, which was supporting the upper section, was much larger.
