    How authoritarian. Why even bother with the formalities. Just march on Washington with a MAGA army and take over. The Democratic Party could be declared illegal and bounties put on the heads of its leaders and supporters.

    Thomas Jefferson, who was a strong believer in democracy used to say that from time to time the people would error in their judgements, but that the error would eventually be righted through the electoral process. The wrong has been corrected. The people have spoken. Get over it.

    Kind of like the Durham investigation? Indictments coming any day! We see this game played out repeatedly, time after time after time. Any day now, any day, justice will be, uh, ohhh shiny penny. Then the next accusation, the next round of investigations, endless hearings that go nowhere. Indictments any day now, any day, right around the corner. Any day. Ooooo shiny penny. Rinse and repeat and repeat and repeat and repeat........

    During the impeachment hearings, and I did watch them all, the plan for the Trump’s re-election strategy against Joe Biden was laid out. He intended to use the fact that Hunter Biden worked for a Ukrainian company to craft a narrative that spun his Russian connections as really being the corruption of Joe Biden in the Ukraine. The Trump was impeached for attempting to extort the president of the Ukraine into playing along. It has a lot to do with why the legitimate news outlets have not aired the Hunter Biden accusations. We all heard them a year ago. We knew that this was going to be the Trump’s October surprise, a fabricated story, to match his winning strategy in 2016, to pound a false narrative against his opponent. They even came up with a laptop with emails. It is almost comical that they thought people would fall for it.

    Ok Breitbart, hm. Anyhow... This is a paraphrase by the editor of Breitbart (biased already) about alleged unverified emails. Even if Hunter said that, frankly, it's not evidence of anything. Hunter seems like a bit of an airhead.

    You have to do much much better than that. Does anyone deserve to judged on the basis of (unproven) boastful emails somebody else made about them?? This is on the same level of the election fraud accusations imo

    Yes but although the Dem Party impeached Trump over bogus charges and without meaningful evidence they also pre-tried Trump in the public court of fircely politically loyal Mainstream Media driven anti-Trump political propaganda. Or in other words the nation's press very definitely was welded to their backside. That would not be the case with a Biden impeachment attempt.

    The same press that hates Trump with a passion overtly worked to try and get Biden elected for the benefit of THEIR party. So even though -- unlike with Trump --would actually have valid reasons for impeaching Biden the press would immediately begin attacking the key GOPer politicians DARING to 'attack' the DNC and Communist China's preferred presidential sock puppet. NOTHING we have seen over the course of the last four years indicates that GOPer politicians at that level possess the backbone or necessary ethics to face off against THAT. So . . . it's highly unlikely to happen.

    the point that completely escaped you is that the people Trump wanted Ukraine to investigate are now under 4 federal investigations.

    which completely exonerates Trump's request and completely destroys the entire premise of the impeachment, idiotic and bogus that it was from the get go.

    Investigations are a penny a pound and the Republicans have investigated everything in the hope something would stick (e.g. see, Benghazi hearings). Check back if we see indictments and convictions.

    Trump was perfectly right and in his right to demand the investigation of people who are currently under 4 federal investigations, this shows the utter bogusness of the impeachment, not that it wasn't obvious from the get go.

    Well in case of that unlikely scenario, both Trump and Palin lost, it would take some circumstantial luck for them to get reelected in 2024 at best.
