Imagine you are someone who was groped/raped by one of these high profile figures and you have kept your mouth shut fir years thinking no one would believe you - THEN they declare they are joining the “family values” party that likes to pretend that they are all for fidelity and Christian values whilst defending and even lauding a man found to have sexually assaulted a woman

It is a very convenient excuse for bad behaviour. There is also a workplace history of harassment apparently
