No your saying it has not bearing nor meaning but for some reason you can't even come up with 1 reason that makes any sense other than posturing, which is an escalation. Carry on it matters no leader watching Biden these days know he's a braindead idiot that's only good at scaring children by popping his dentures.

Yes, but no one was prepared. Not the Ukrainians, not the US, and not NATO, who was still divided at that time. But it was the Crimea and it was in retaliation of that revolution that ousted a Pro-Putin PM all because he rejected to join the EU.

The biggest advantage of Nuke is not launching them. The nuclear capable nations: UK, US, Russia, China, Israel, Pakistan, India, and Israel, know that if one launches, we all launch, and that will ruin your day pretty quick, wouldn't it? So basically, nuclear options are really off the table. Not even North Korea is crazy enough to launch a nuclear missle directly at South Korea or even Japan. they may threaten to do so, but that generally means they want something in return.

Most of our allies are more than happy to deal with President Biden. Whom they find more than competent mentally and admirably adapt at diplomacy. Which they find a refreshing, encouraging change from his predecessor.

No big thing except I find it odd that he authorized 450 of them to be called back into service from the IRR.

I speak from a collective 40+ years of knowledge and experience with that so-called command staff. Faith and politics don't mix and the military is politics from bottom to top.

Your assessment fit well in the 1960s, 1970s, maybe all the way until 2020. Our world has changed so dramatically in the past 5 - 10 years that to trust someone would care about mutually assured destruction is a fool's errand.

In other words you have a chip on your shoulder over our military.

Which is more than evident in your posts.

it still fits well today. North Korea is nuclear capable now, with maybe 30 to 50 nuclear warheads of various sizes. We and the Russians have enough missiles and warheads to destroy the earth some five times over if we launch en masse. Oh I forgot France is nuclear capable as well in my list. But the thing is nuclear weapons are such a detriment that given the technology, the free speech today, and so forth, any order to launch will be well known in advance. And that will put everyone on edge, even our allies. And that means mutually assured destruction has remained stoic despite all the geopolitical changes that have come.

I am looking at the ever changing landscape of our world we live in today. It proves to me insanity is beginning to rule over sensibility.

Wrong again! OUR current “Commander in Chief” is doing a great job compared with the last guy, Conman n Cheat.

Still it seems you have a chip on your shoulder over OUR military; claiming the Command structure is all politics and that OUR reserve troops are 3rd string.

It's always been that way. The only difference today from 10 or 20 years ago is the internet and those who want to have their 15 seconds of fame.

Keep dreaming! Your statements are lacking common sense and any foundation beyond your dream land.

And yet the two worst President's approval rating at this point in their presidency belong to Jimmy Carter and Joe Biden.

Actually that IS projection. You started out critical of our military and have ended up that way. Nothing you've said is based in fact, but rather misguided prejudice against our troops.

    That's bullshit.

Maybe in the latest Blightfart pole ... or somewhere like it. No wonder you are so angry at our military leadership.

Or someone that actually knows what they're talking about versus some partisan blabbing their opinion. This my friend is where you should thank him for his service and realize you've been checkmated.

Am I the only one who finds it strange that Biden and his son have all this history with Ukraine and suddenly "we will do ANYTHING for Ukraine!" I mean there's gotta be a connection right?

I love the military. I have family members who are former military. But let's face it. It's gone woke. Like their first priority is trans issues. And they've gotten rid of anyone who didn't take the vaccine. Most likely the true heroes are gone.

All the politicians stare at the camera and say "I would do ANYTHING for Ukraine, except boots on ground." I think the reason is that the dirty little secret is that if we get into a war with Russia, they'll have to bring back the draft. And every politician knows that would be political suicide.
