I can't wait for DeSantis to toss his hat into the ring. He's taking his time, and for good reason. He is the guy who will best have a shot at dethroning the old crooked forgetful puppet, who couldn't even remember the last country he visited, a family vacation in Ireland, less than two weeks ago. Seriously people, we cannot allow Biden to have access to the Nukes any longer. He might confuse them for classified documents he accidentally forgot that he left in his garage.

Good on the Republicans in FL. who passed this legislation that clarifies and allows DeSantis to run for the presidency while acting as the governor.

Still a 0.0000000001% chance that he is the nominee

and still less than 50% that he actually runs

You are correct though. He has a much better chance to beat Brandon than Trump, but the GOP doesn't care.

His numbers might go up when he declares.

I like Trump and would like him to win, but if he did he’d only get four years. With that in mind the libs would just obstruct, sue him, have hearings, and all sorts of other **** while they just wait him out. The thing I really like about DeSantis is his opposition to illegals and wokeness.

Can you imagine waking up on a Wednesday morning and finding out Trump won.

I’ll tell you why. Biden has made America too great and that causes us to be inequitable to the rest of the planet. I mean, Biden has a booming economy, lowered crimes, no one is getting laid off, China and Iran have been kept in check, he ended racism across the entire planet, global warming is no longer a problem, everything is now free, taxes are now a thing of the past, we have tons of low cost energy, the war in Ukraine was amicably settled, our borders are secure and all the illegals left on their own, the dollar is about to be eliminated but he just fixed it, the laptop really was a Russian operation, Harris turned out to be a genius, all by himself Biden solved the tranny bathroom issue to everyone’s satisfaction, China now allows us to fly spy balloons over their country, the roads are no longer racist, Harvard now accepts Asians, there is no more white privilege, supremacy or nationalists, the deficit is back to zero, and on and on and on.

Under Biden, we have it so good that the rest of the world is bowing to us in respect to our greatness that never would have been achieved had Biden not been president, and he did it by working a thirty hour week and taking more time off than Feinstein and Fetterman combined.

Definitely, DeSantis will "best have a shot" at "dethroning the Old Crooked Forgetful (TRUMP) Puppet"
Ron D. Definitely has the best chance of dethroning that soon to be 77-year-old SENILE Basket Case (Trump) for the GOP Nomination...

I used to think DeSantis was the the biggest threat to Biden. Then the Disney debacle happened, and he exposed himself as a petty man who is not beneath using his powers to retaliate against people or businesses who speak out against him. And it also revealed him as incompetent because Disney continues to outmaneuver him. And soon we’re going to see an injunction invalidating his unconstitutional legislation targeting Disney for speaking its mind.

DeSantis has revealed himself to be a fool. Sure, the hardliner gay haters will still vote for him. But he will struggle to get votes from the moderates. And that is why he can’t win.

The DeSantis ship has definitely sailed...
His window is passed, he was more of an "idea" than a practical.candidate...
    For starters:
There is NO WAY that DeSantis has the chops to get into the gutter with Trump...
That is why DeSantis is toast...

Can you please cite the language in the bill that hurts gay people? Oh, you think it prevents people from saying gay, hahaha.

You know an LGBT parade was cancelled because of a bill that’s against children attending sexual performances. Now what on earth does a family friendly LGBT parade have to do with sex? Think about it. Up until yesterday such a bill would be redundant because normal SANE people don’t bring children to sexual performances like strip clubs. Yet whoever was organizing a parade was worried?? I’m told LGBT parades have NOTHING to do with sex. It’s just a celebration of LGBT values, etc.

Maybe it’s the T that’s actually hurting themselves. LGB needs to start reevaluating what and who they’re about? Sexualized performances for children doesn’t quite seem like a good strategy for acceptance. Unless that’s the goal, normalizing Pedos? Is that the goal?

Isn't it nice when you can just re-write the law when it becomes inconvenient, or gets in the way of your personal ambitions?

The life of the ruling elite is something most of us will never experience.

The rest of us have to obey the laws as it was written.

This was the reason. He was taking his time, because he was waiting for his cronies to re-write the laws for him.

We are witnessing 3rd world politics in action

Elections, as Obama once said, have consequences. In any case I don't know why this should matter to anyone outside of Florida.

Yes, Germany, and the rest of the world, found out the hard way in the 1930s.

I don't remember anyone before changing the laws so they could become president.

I live in Florida, and if this enables him to run for WH, then obviously it matters to everyone.

I thought I remembered you were a Floridian. So, as a Floridian how does this bill effect you? Even if Desantis had to resign Nunez would become Governor. She would just follow in Desantis' steps.

LOL! Exemptions to laws so they do not hurt his personal ambitions? Laws for thee, but not for me, the new Republican mantra.

I realize that you cheer this on, in your hope for a new savior, now that savior one is on the way down. I'll never understand why the people, who claim personal responsibility for their own lives and self reliance, so much want a savior to make their live better.

So you would prefer theme parks to have the ability to undermine your state voters? Theme parks now govern what your state will and won't do and if anyone intercedes they are petty.
    Interesting

I’m stunned. The legislators are re-writing every law that helps the people. It’s only in Ron’s best interest that he run for president while still being payed by the taxpayers. This goes for the entire US Congress, too.

    This is some serious bullshit.

Tyranny of the majority is running rampant in this country.

Yes, political corruption bothers me. You might be cool with it, but not me.

I do remember, but that ship has sailed and pseudo-conservative agenda has replaced it.

What political corruption are you referring to as it relates to the bill allowing Desantis to run for President while being governor? Imo, the bill wasn't even necessary, because the way some interpreted the previous law there was nothing saying he couldn't run; just that he had to resign as governor prior to taking the oath. In other words, the law didn't allow two offices being held simultaneously.

The democrats didn't think Trump had a chance in 2016 either. Your crystal ball doesn't function very reliably.
