Well, if you found it on the internet it must be true.

I was wondering what you meant by "threatening" legislators. Is this it? They threatened to sue to have the bill declared invalid? Why is that wrong? If they really think it is invalid then they should be able to sue (so long as they have standing to do so).

Okay this is really dumb. Disney is 2% of the Florida GDP and they employ 75k Floridians. So they have as much at stake in the state as any other Floridian. And if they think a pending bill is unlawful or unconstitutional then why shouldn't they be entitled to threatened to sue to have it overturned if it is passed?

Now, Disney stock holders start dumping Disney stock, to include their new CEO Robert Iger who dumps 90 million of his shares. If you are such a proponent of Disneys stance on the subject why is their own CEO dumping all his stock?

The fact that you are calling that a "threat" without clarifying that they are threatening to sue to get the bill overturned speaks volumes. You want people to read "threat" without any further investigation, because if they knew Disney was simply "threatening" to sue they'd say big ****ing deal.

I can't understand why anyone would be fine with a California owned theme park dictating what laws state legislators will pass.
The left melts down when Musk buys Twitter, but magically they are fine with Disney telling them what is right and wrong and what laws DISNEY decides are fine with Disney?
    Amazing

Personally, I don't think that anyone should be able to keep their office while running for POTUS. Too much time away from their current job, that they are getting paid for, serves no one except themselves.

First of all, it is dumb to say Disney is dictating what state laws legislators will pass. They simply said they would sue to invalidate a specific bill of passed. Second, it makes sense that they would take an interest in the laws passed in Florida because they have 75,000 employees in the state and represent 2% of the state’s GDP.

    So, anything smart to say?

Accept Disney wasn't doing anything for their employees but I do love how people just make up claims because they need to make it a one way story. In fact, Disney didn't do anything at first. Then when the Orlando Sentinel ran the story about Disney supporting the legislators who voted for the bill, magically, Disney decided to address it 3 days AFTER the bill was passed telling Florida legislators if they don't reverse their decision, Disney would spend what ever it takes to overturn it.

But if you feel the need to pretend what happened, its a free country. I have the links to support my claims? Do you?
Please provide links where Disney stated they were doing this for their employees and while your at it, please show how the Parental rights act stopping the indoctrination of 5 year olds from any trans or gay sexuality issues being taught, effects Disney or their employees since the bill made it clear, its up to the individual parents.

No state should have such a law. It is probably unconstitutional, but changing it is much easier than fighting it.

    DeSantis should wait until 2028.
He has ZERO Chance at the GOP Nomination in 2024

The DeSantis Candidacy is a total fool's errand...
Zero chance that he can beat Trump for the nomination...

He may be quietly hoping for a Trump health crisis. Even if he does win, he'll spend his entire four years in SCOTUS, trying to defend his anti-freedom politics.

Sure, something unforeseen (a Trump "health crisis" etc) is basically DeSantis' only chance

Well, he’s in it. This is going to be a messy primary. The silly season gets longer every year.

You might be correct, but it won't be as messy as the 2016 Republican and even Democrat primaries.

That's part of the conundrum. He can't beat Trump in the primary, but he stands a better chance of beating Biden in the general election than Trump does. The rabid bull **** from the MAGA thugs is required to win the primary, but can't win the general.
