According to a source in the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Ukrainian military argued that Russia is not technically controls the territory south-east. In the end it turned out, the Russian means of control and intelligence, including space, recorded everything that happened during the attack Malaysian aircraft missile SAM "Buk." It pretty much blew a disinformation attack specially hired by Washington on the eve of the media. Putin's silence is seen as a strategic move. When all ozvuchat fabricated lies, he silently tabled evidence of guilt performers barbaric attack.
All will soon burst with indignation when Russian satellite imagery to present a situation with the Boeing 777. There will be shown every second situation with all the details of the tragedy. Knowingly Poroshenko according to numerous testimonies already started drinking. And Obama sharply his tongue.

Vladimir Vladimirovic is smarter than that.

In case Moscow produces satellite images I wonder how could the "international community" [I don't know what's it, but it's a fashion to mention it ...] be sure that Russians didn't build those images just to support their version of the facts.

Unfortunately we have to wait for the images coming from a Chinese satellite passing over the region to have an independent version ...

What the hell kind of reply is this? I posted a link with several articles about Khodakovsky. They were all posted before the airline incident.

Do you have anything of substance to say? Apparently not.

How can we treat to Russian government and to this coutry's policy at all when they took Crimea and tried to take not only Donetsk and Lugansk region but the whole South-eastern part including Odessa? I do believe that people of Russia are kind and ordinary like we are, who doesn't want a war and to lose their families like we are. As I remember referendum took place in Donetsk and Lugans regions and in average 80% people voted for federal structure of Ukraine with further changes in our constitution. There're were not any single point that meant to secede from Ukraine. After that DPR and LPR asked Putin to proclame this land as Russian lands and he refused! Putin understood that his plan doesn't work well enough like he wanted, cause a few people in ukraine want live in Russia. not because Russia as bad country, just because it's Ukrainian land and we want live in OUR country and not to be another countries part. That's why he's sponsoring this hybrid war and provide separatist with old weapons like our Ukrainian army has to hide russian presence in this conflict. czhech Republick and Slovakia it's another case and you cannot compare this with current situation in Ukraine. CZ and SK similar but different countries in language and culture tha's why they have choosen independent way for themselves. Donetsk and Lugans is a part of Ukraine and there were no independent state on this territory before. Don and Lug region were with us even in times of USSR. So it's different cases. Our case can be compared to The Munich Agreement, but even that was no such like this bloodbath.

All areas of the southeastern Ukrainian presented Lenin. Khrushchev gave the Crimea. It used to be Russian territory. New Russia and Russia must join as East and West Germany.

Ukraine: Reuters Interviews Benedict Arnold: "Rebels Had BUK, Downed MH17"

    Updated below

Reuters is currently running a sensational story headlined Exclusive: Ukraine rebel commander acknowledges fighters had BUK missile". There is a big problem with the story. The man in question is not a "rebel commander" and had recently changed sides. He is the Ukrainian Benedict Arnold. About a week ago the federalists had removed him (and a few others) from all positions because they had secretly tried to give control of Donetsk to the coup-government.

    The Reuters lede:

A powerful Ukrainian rebel leader has confirmed that pro-Russian separatists had anti-aircraft missiles of the type Washington says were used to shoot down Malaysia Airlines flight MH17.

In an interview with Reuters, Alexander Khodakovsky, commander of the Vostok Battalion, acknowledged for the first time since the airliner was brought down in eastern Ukraine on Thursday that the rebels did possess the BUK missile system.

He also indicated that the BUK may have originated in Russia and could have been sent back to remove proof of its presence.

If true that tale would surely fit the story the U.S. administration is peddling but for which it has no evidence.

The New York Times portrait Khodakovsky on June 4 and this part of it is very telling:

In an interview, Mr. Khodakovsky said that he was largely autonomous, that he coordinated on some matters with other separatist military commanders and that he would even turn against the separatist government “if the interests of the politicians and the people diverge.”

    Also of interest:

Mr. Khodakovsky declined to provide more information about the militia’s financing or the sources of its weapons.

He denied rumors that he was being backed financially by Rinat Akhmetov, a Donetsk-based oligarch who is arguably the region’s most powerful man, but who has recently taken a strong stance against the separatists. He did say that he had told Mr. Akhmetov once that they have “similar interests” in preserving order.

Despite that denial it had been long acknowledged that the Vostok Battalion Khodakovsky was once leading was founded and paid for by the east-Ukrainian oligarch Akhmetov.

Ahkmetov has made a deal with Kiev, changed his stand and turned against the federalist.

In July some parts of the federalists in Donetsk, those alligned with Ahkmetov, started an internal coup against the federalists. They made a secret deal with the coup-government and where about to give up control over Donetsk. Shortly thereafter that whole groups was purged. The (long) internal story behind this is available here, On Political Perspectives of Novorossia, and one core fact, which Reuters does not mention, is this:

The failure of the "defeatist party" with the surrender of Donetsk (currently effectively all involved are removed from any meaningful political levers in the DPR –Lukyanchenko, Khodakovsky, Pozhidayev –there is also currently unconfirmed information about the possible resignation of Mr. Pushilin) didn't lead to their extinction. ...

Khodakovsky and the others no longer belong to the federalists. They no longer hold federalist positions. Khodakovsky allegedly fled. They have (together with the oligarch Akhmetov) changed sides and made their deal with Kiev.

Now tell me: how reliable are claims by one Benedict Arnold, a man paid by the "enemy" to hand over a federalist city to the imperial regime?Especially when the traitor's claims completely fit the likely false story the CIA advised coup-government in Kiev is trying to plant about the downing of the flight MH-17?

Besides all that, notice that the man Reuters interviewed does not even claim to ever have seen the alleged BUK system. All he is providing is hearsay:

"That BUK I know about. I heard about it. I think they sent it back."

I also heard a lot of things and sometimes I think something. But such does not provide factual knowledge and no court would accept is a proof.

As it leaves out the most important fact, the interviewed guy is no longer with the federalists but now works for Kiev, the Reuters interview is just a part of the U.S. managed information campaign against the federalists and against Russia. Unfortunately few will ever hear of that and are therefore likely to believe the false claims.

    Update:

RIA now has (in Russian) a somewhat fishy denial of the Reuters interview by an anonymous spokesperson of Khodakovsky. Machine translation:

Donetsk, July 23 - RIA Novosti. Battalion commander "East" Alexander Khodakovsky denies that he spoke in an interview with Reuters on the alleged use of militias in eastern Ukraine system "Buk", said RIA Novosti on Wednesday a source close to the commander.

"I did not say anything like" Reuters "and I have a recording of a conversation" -quoted the spokesman Khodakovskogo words.

The comparison to Jesus is almost comical. Whatever next ? Holy Mother Putin ?
I do have sympathy with anyone under the threat of bombing, but then who exercised an illegal and non valid referendum ? The pro-Russian rebels did. And as for peaceful (?) don't insult my intelligence. The resistance used arms and beatings to expel legitimate soldiers and other officials and even demanded their weapons to be left behind. All with the help of that tinpot dictator Putin. As I see it that is treason and punishable by any law.
Anyone who hates the Ukraine as much as you should make a home elsewhere. If that region gets demolished and several rebels get killed then I would suggest they got what they asked for. Now that the morons shot a civil airliner down (fact) they can forget any good outcome for themselves. The world will no longer allow it and deservedly so. Tampering with evidence and refusing international observers full access speaks volumes and is enough evidence of their total guilt. They can count themselves lucky that the majority of those unfortunate passengers were Dutch and not American, or else they would be much closer to death now. Not that the outcome will be any different now. Kiev will get full support from the West.
As for Putin the pathetic, he will find that his own people will soon want his head when company after company in Russia loses billions and the economy nose dives. If he thinks he can intimidate the west with his ancient and unreliable hardware and soldiers who could not organise the proverbial (*)(*)(*)(*) up while sitting on the barrels or read a map, then he is more deluded than the chap who wrote this misguided non-sense.

In my mind it does not matter how MH17 was shot down. Whether it was separatists supplied by Russia or not...Neo-Isolationist President Obama will do nothing if Russia annexes all of Ukraine. There are sanctions of course but without the EU's help, America can only do so much.

The EU doesn't really seem to care much either. Among the EU, Russia's best customer is Germany, accounting for 40% of exports among EU nations. Germany is afraid to impose stricter sanctions and German Chancellor Merkel grew in East Germany, a Soviet satellite. I can't help but think some of that Communist propaganda remains an influence.

Putin knows full well, he can act with virtual impunity from any real sanctions and military actions...Europe and America must act together to impose stricter sanctions, but I don't expect much cooperation beyond rhetoric.

It's a joke...Secretary Kerry is demanding Russia achieve a peaceful resolution to the issue of conflict within Ukraine, meanwhile two Ukrainian military jets were shot down today, by most accounts from anti-aircraft batteries located within Russian territory. Finger waving and furrowed brows don't do much good, do they Secretary Kerry.

America talks tough but is impotent beyond a few sanctions here and there.

The only brightspot in all of this is that as Europe becomes more energy independent through allternative energy programs, Russia faces a challenge in its preeminence as an energy supplier and its ability to wield oil and gas as geostrategic tools.

What is vital for Germany is achieving energy independence from Russia.

Bravo, bravo. Excellent interview. Mr. Khodakovsky clearly explained it all in a clear Russian. This is only the beginning, Ukraine will be free from the Maidan junta and Ukraine will be friendly or even reunited with Russia. The events will mobilize more Ukrainians in their efforts to shed power of EU. They realize that the Maidans are foreigners in disguise of Ukrainian nationalists. Khodakovsky is a good statesman. The Maidans will be cut off, surrounded and Russians will "mop it up".
