    From our Commander in Chief, President Trump:

    General Jim Mattis will be retiring, with distinction, at the end of February, after having served my Administration as Secretary of Defense for the past two years. During Jim’s tenure, tremendous progress has been made, especially with respect to the purchase of new fighting equipment. General Mattis was a great help to me in getting allies and other countries to pay their share of military obligations. A new Secretary of Defense will be named shortly. I greatly thank Jim for his service!

    LOL! We both created the thread on Mattis simultaneously. This announcement, coming just one day after Trump's decision to withdraw from Syria, just reiterates what others have said many times before. Trump will run this country as a dictator and it doesn't matter who he has in his administration, no matter how much experience they have as General Mattis has, he's going to do whatever the hell he wants to do. Trump has actually performed his own coup- d'etat.

    Is anyone on the right still doubting what we've been trying to tell you for 2 years? This is EXACTLY what Putin wanted to happen. He wanted our country in chaos politically, it makes the U.S. not only weak but extremely vulnerable.

    Let me bring forward the words of Donald Trump himself in New Hampshire in 2015. If anyone heard that in 2015 and weren't afraid of this evil man, then they just don't care about this country.

    Mattis is not retiring people...He Quit!

    Our country no longer has a Secretary of defense because the COC does not listen to or respect the people who keep us safe. Do not be surprised to see NSA closed as well.

    America is now completely open to destruction.....what will it take for people to wake up and defend us from ourselves.

    We unfortunately deserve whatever happens now.

    whatever happened to destroying terrorists?...you destroyed Iraq where there were no terrorists, invaded and bombed afghanistan taliban who didn't attack the USA but made business deals with Suadi where the 9/11 terrorists came from...then the one time the US gets it right going after an international terror threat ISIS by backing Kurdish militia and trump cuts and runs leaving the ISIS still in operation and the Kurds to be slaughtered by the Turks and Assad/Putin military...I guess Putin must called donnie and reminded him about the pee pee video he still has

    "you" being a generalization for USA politics

    attacking ISIS actually did keep you safe, this is one terror threat that made an effort to attack westerners everywhere and I don't know of a single western country that didn't support the effort

    With everything that's going on, people don't believe or trust him anymore to have the best interests of the country at heart.
    It's become obvious that the trump family are criminally corrupt and compromised and trump lacks both the character and the basic love of country to be a good or effective leader.
    He's a demagogue crippled by serious psychological issues who creates chaos for his personal advantage and is willing to ruin the country if it means helping himself.
    The more time passes, the more obvious it becomes what a defective character he is.
