What could be more idiotic than believing fairy tales are real?

Well your comments have a nice pseudo intellectual flavor, what with the "paradigm shift", "information based reality" and so forth but the bottom line is there is no proof whatsoever for the sky man postulated by theists.

You make great claims. Now provide the proof. BTW a true scientist understands that evolution is real and the earth is billions of years old.

Well I am not a Christian but I will say that Christians support charity with their own money. Liberals in general want to do good works with someone else's money. I remember how in 1997 Al Gore and his wife gave $353 to charity. In addition to hating Christians you probably hate America and also hate white people. How could any Christian be more self-righteous than you are?

What you call charity from the government is stealing from one person to give to another.

What does evolution have to do with GOD?

Speaking of college education being affordable I would love for the government to limit the tuition colleges can charge and limit the salary of professors. Let these academic liberals practice what they preach.

The OP addressed the Christian religion so the answer to your question should be obvious. The Christian religion is based on creationist mythology (Bible) that is incompatible with a belief in evolution.

Did I speak of Christians? Oh no, Evolution came after Creation. Guess you think Evolution explains the first creation of the cell. Sorry but no.

This thread is about Christians and liberals. If you are addressing some non-christian view of creation you should create your own thread. Now if you are talking about Christianity you better reread your Bible. The Christian Bible says Adam was created from "the dust of the earth" whereas evolution says man evolved from a primate ancestor. Get the difference. Now if you want to claim God created DNA, organic compounds etc. please provide the evidence for this claim.

Oh, GOSH! YOU sound like one of those Republicans who don't think they should contribute anything financially to their country ( how UNPATRIOTIC) and want everything for free......that's just not right...

As many Christians are liberals as there are conservative Christians. It is just that the conservatives are more vocal about it, and more mean spirited. Liberal Christians give to charity and do charitable works as much as conservative Christians. The truth is that liberal Christians follow Christ's teachings better than conservative Christians do. I don't hate Christians in general, I despise people who say they are Christian but who don't even follow Christ.

You were the one who talked about "charity" from the government. BTW, do you pay taxes. Forty four percent of the people in this country pay zero Federal taxes (many who pay no taxes get EITC "refunds"). How many of the people who don't pay taxes do you suppose are Dimocrats?

I can't disagree with your first sentence and the first clause in your 2nd sentence. Many of the people I know (who are conservatives) like to profess that they have "found Christ" and classify people as believers and non-believers in a somewhat smug manner. On the other hand, I grew up going to a liberal church. When I refused to go anymore at the age of 16 my father punched me in the face.

The fact is the early church were communistic, so IMHO a real Christian would be a liberal.

Based on this discussion I have to revise something I said earlier. Liberal Christians (as Christians) spend their own money for charity, but it is as liberals they want to spend other peoples money.

Clearly you have an open mind. I like your response. I believe Christ expected us to share if we have and others don't have. Things people need like health care, food, shelter, clothing, education, safety...things every human is entitled to. Conservatives don't mind the State paying for fire fighters and police officers, because everyone needs them---liberals need them as much as everyone does. But they don't like the State paying for the other things everyone needs like health care, food, shelter, clothing, & education. It doesn't make sense.

I support government providing temporary assistance with some of the things you mention for humanitarian reasons, but it should not be assistance that goes on forever. When people get welfare for 3 or 4 generations something is wrong.

Some people take advantage of the system, but on the whole, there will always be people who don't function well or for other reasons need propping up in order to function at a level that is a decent life. I've traveled all over the world, and in countries where there isn't a system to take care of such people, there are people who live in hovels (true, real hovels--like flimsy shacks with corrugated tin roofs) and tons of people begging in the street. People who have lost limbs or have other gruesome injuries or health problems because of no health care living on the street and begging. I don't want to see that in America. There will always be people who need help, through their own fault or that of society. I don't mind paying some in taxes to keep my country from turning into the kind of place where sick, desperate people live on the street or in disgusting hovels and have to beg in order to survive. You don't know what it is like.

"Dimocrats"...what an ignorant, petty thing to call people.....

Why do Republicans want everything for free?

I agree, many immensely wealthy people do not pay taxes(if they have smart accountants and lawyers)

    Well said! Very well said.
The kind of Christianity that should be questioned is the hyper political type.

Christians vs Liberals you say? Well to be a liberal, means one is tolerant. And yet those claiming to be liberal are the worst attackers of Christians of all. Why is that?

Why are you discussing evolution in a topic like this? If you want to discuss Adam and Eve, start your own topic.

You can tell who does not understand tax law by the incorrect things they say about the wealthy.

    Because...?
How about acceptance apart from funding? Should they expect that? And if yes, why?
