Section 1. Policy. It is the policy of my Administration to halt the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) by relying on the best available data and science-based public health measures. Such measures include wearing masks when around others, physical distancing, and other related precautions recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Put simply, masks and other public health measures reduce the spread of the disease, particularly when communities make widespread use of such measures, and thus save lives.

Accordingly, to protect the Federal workforce and individuals interacting with the Federal workforce, and to ensure the continuity of Government services and activities, on-duty or on-site Federal employees, on-site Federal contractors, and other individuals in Federal buildings and on Federal lands should all wear masks, maintain physical distance, and adhere to other public health measures, as provided in CDC guidelines.

Sec. 2. Immediate Action Regarding Federal Employees, Contractors, Buildings, and Lands. (a) The heads of executive departments and agencies (agencies) shall immediately take action, as appropriate and consistent with applicable law, to require compliance with CDC guidelines with respect to wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and other public health measures by: on-duty or on-site Federal employees; on-site Federal contractors; and all persons in Federal buildings or on Federal lands.

There is no point to wearing a mask outdoors where social distancing is possible for anyone or outside at all if you are vaccinated.

And not enforced. My state had outdoor mask mandate and hardly anyone wore them outside. Not one incident of anyone getting in any trouble

I've never worn a mask outdoors. Here in Texas it's never been required to wear a mask outdoors. And now I'm not required to wear a mask at all... unless a federal building or private business requires it.

Biden says no masks outdoors for fully vaccinated people step toward 'normal living'

" President Joe Biden on Tuesday reiterated the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated guidance that fully vaccinated individuals no longer need masks while outdoors except in crowded settings.

The agency had released the new guidance shortly before Biden was set to provide an update on the pandemic.

I'd never be on such a beach, beaches here have plenty of room. Would you still wear it if there was an average of 30 yards between people?

 

steel toes and hard hats at least. i was never ordered to wear protective clothing by my union , but if he was building anything or working on a dock the job certainly has safety requirements.

 

Depends where you live. My state had such requirements but local law enforcement didn’t enforce anything from the state, only provided educational materials.

Point being outdoor mask wearing really was more a suggestion than a requirement.

 

I have a friend who has told me he intends to wear his mask to his own funeral, just to have peace of mind and show his faith in The Church.

 

Please explain to me the logic behind allowing someone to sit at a restaurant and eat without a mask and yet when you go in or you leave your table you have to wear one?

That’s tantamount to having a peeing section in the pool and then complaining when someone pees in the non peeing section.
