And it is very clear from the historical record that warming results in a maximal improvement in the overall human condition.

What about the previous 2000 years! Better yet what about
Pretty sure they had a few weather related changes, but I'm sure EVERYTHING weather can be explained in just the last 2000 years ¯\_(º¸º)_/¯

The irony in their bogus claim of regional warming is that those locations which they acknowledge as warming are locations where humans thrived.

They can't even agree on what "denier" actually means.

Denying anything they say it seems.. they have no clue what science is nor how it advances.

You don't get it - climate change is a Russian conspiracy to warm up Siberia and make it more livable.
    As simple as that.

Russia is interfering in AGW Climate Change Global Warming and whatever name comes down the pike this fall. It's Russia that keeps changing the name through Facebook input and influence.

Here is link that goes the other way: That declining temps from the Roman Optimum was part of what drove the Romans to leave England, opening it up to the Anglo-Saxon's.

It's actually not unfounded. Russia since 2016, maybe earlier, has been actively nudging and influencing social media messaging by infiltrating groups and slowly moving the narrative where they want. They organize protests on opposite sides of the streets between groups that will fight each other. They breed hatred on Facebook, boards like these, everywhere. Since no one really knows anyone on social media unless they're a celebrity or public figure, anyone can be anyone they want. And activists, blinded by emotion and group think, will happily follow the loudest or most convincing voice. Russia's goal is bringing us down and other countries by destroying the fabric of our society. Since their culture is so corrupt and ****ed, their leadership is bent on bringing the rest of us down to their level. Mission accomplished.

When elected officials in the U.S. can openly call other officials racists, rapists, bigots and Nazis or spies, without repercussions or rational proof, Russia has succeeded. We're electing the whack jobs that used to get dragged away and arrested by cops at rallies. Screaming lunatics with obvious mental imbalances. These same crazies are now influencing policy and laws. Its getting scary.

So, how do you propose to solve climate change without destroying the economy and thus cause environmental devastation.
Yes destroying the economy also destroys the environment.

The entire reason our society has focused on scientific advancement, scientific method and a tremendous ease of access for a wealth of information is exactly so none of us are forced to blindly follow "experts" like they are high priests.

As for sources, you can find a million on the Holocene Optimum simply by highlighting the words, right clicking it and dropping it into a search bar.

As usual those who do not understand or do not wish to grasp the current changes, instead delve into ancient climate that has no bearing on todays. There is also reasoning behind the decision not to base our society on ancient Egyptian beliefs.

The Holocene has 9 previous warming periods the “same” as we see now which took place at constant CO2.

I propose we focus on real dangers; nuclear waste in rotting barrels stored since the post WWII period, agricultural and industrial chemicals, plastics, solvents and heavy metals in our soil, oceans and ground water. Anyone in our EPA that finds those real needs boring and doesn't want to make it a priority can resign. We have old industrial and mining waste sites that need to be decontaminated all over this country. I also would begin to throttle trade with gross polluting nations like China and India.

In our country a company cannot even wash trucks without running the runoff through a grease separator to prevent the incidental oil from fouling our water ways. All chemical wastes have to transported and properly disposed by a certified waste hauler. In India, if they have a partial barrel of solvent they no longer need, they pour it out in an unused corner of a parking lot.

"Climate Change" is a diversion of time and resources from real environmental hazards.

Here is another thing, all of human advancement has been as we found more concentrated fuel sources; from wood and livestock to coal and steam, and now electricity; natural gas, and oil. Yet today, we are spending how much time and resources on trying to go back to Wind and Moonshine? Imagine if during the coal and steam era if all our best minds were trying to figure out how to more effectively go back to wood, livestock and physical labor.

We don't truly understand atomic theory. The Strong Nuclear force is vastly more powerful than the electromagnetic force and while we have recipes that inform us that if we do A & B that C results, once we fundamentally have a better understanding of these natural forces who knows what venues and opportunities that will unlock, but instead our society is investing in windmills and fomenting switch grass? What a waste, and while we do this, we are not cleaning all the messes left over from the industrial revolution that continue to foul our water and soil.

So yeah, I would clean house and fundamentally refocus our Environmental efforts on mitigation of real toxins.

Year to year, the 'zone' will vary based on annual plants. Perennials and trees which cover multiple years, have survived mild winters, and harsh winters. The actually issue that can kill off perennials and trees, is water, or lack thereof.

Plants and trees adapt. So do humans.
