Just because it is a "right"...........doe not mean one HAS to have a weapon......It is a personal choice to possess one. The amount of wepons floaitg around..... does NOT make this country safer or more attractive.

By "sometimes having to kill people"............one is taking the law into their own hands ....but bi asses the arrest, the trial and the verdict process........in a country that CLAIMS t be a nation of laws. ( laws that seem to be filled with loopholes)

Try and tell all those victims of shootings.......that the shooter had the right to have a weapon and shoot them. ) The shooter had his own "reason"or "justification" to do the killing....disturbed as it was.

    Yep.
The fact it is a right means you have no say in the matter.
Self defense is neither law enforcement nor a criminal proceeding.

Fatalities reported in shooting at Texas outlet mall

At least nine people were taken to the hospital and an unspecified number of people were killed in a shooting at a Dallas-area outlet mall Saturday, authorities said.

The suspected shooter was “neutralized” by a city police officer who was at the mall responding to an unrelated call, Allen Police Chief Brian Harvey said.

Look at the anti-gun loons, standing on fresh bodies and bathing in fresh blood, as a means to push their mindless agenda.
They can't get enough of it, and never stop hoping for more.

    Good luck pushing that narrative.

The majority of Americans know the GOP is the one that has blood on their hands due to their inactions.

I don't need to push anything - the anti-gun loons do it for me.
    Right on cue.

A guy with an assault rifle goes in a mall and kills everybody in sight. The same type of gun that has NO function other than to kill the most number of people in the shortest amount of time. And that pro-gun politicians protect for NO reason, despite the fact that most Americans... including most Republic, support stricter restrictions on. But it's anti-gun folk who this poster considers the "loons".

The Trump post-fact world is truly a curious world.

We have more than one mass shooting a day in this country. What really IS nuts is that we allow it to keep happening for the ONLY reason that it benefits a group of political donors.

A right to have a weapon doesn't automatically grant the ability to misuse a weapon does it?

Just a question... which GOP folks in the state of IL, or the city of Chicago would you ascribe this blood to? Do you expect that the GOP exerted an inordinate power of folks like Lori? This is a fantastic position to consider... LMAO....

I assume you mean Lori Lightfoot. I don't follow Chicago politics, but I'm sure the point is to divert to the same old argument of why Democrats don't solve the inner city violence. Okay, no problem....what do you suggest to lower that and ALL gun violence?

Provide a realistic solution, not one that hangs on conspiracy theories.

Hmm.. so, faced with the fact that your original assertion of GOP power exerted to ensure violence in IL was debunked, this is where you then ran to? Really? Try admitting that your initial thought was at bet ill conceived, and move on. If, as you tried to suggest the GOP is the culprit for this violence that continues to consume democratic cities, you might want to try your own remedy, and document this if you can. It would be revelatory. Really.

I would point out that if you solve for why democratic cities are so dangerous, it still wouldn't solve of everything, and you should at least be honest enough to recognize that it wouldn't. So, no, what might work in a democratic city hell hole might not be workable outside of one. You should at least be honest enough to understand that.

Police shooting of 11-year-old who called 911 for help is under investigation
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation said it is investigating the police shooting of an 11-year-old boy after he called 911 for help last weekend. Aderrien Murry was seriously wounded by an Indianola police officer responding to a domestic call at his mother’s home, his lawyer said. Calls are growing for the officer to be fired and charged.

good morning @MiaBleu . 58 pages of replies and mass shootings since 2021 and it is still "business as usual."

where is the next shooting scheduled? i have not "bathed in fresh blood." since the last shooting.

usually i restrict my "gun control" urges to the insane incels who must be given higher power rifles to compensate for their inability to have a prom date, but perhaps a post like yours is a "red flag" in some states? .

yes.58 [ages of replies.......hundreds of kids and adults DEAD... and the argument reamns about defending the "right" to own weapons. the priority seems to be the weapon.....not the kids, or victims. They are just incidental casualties of the "right" to own, carry and use indiscriminately.. weapons..... that this cultue is addicted to...and fascinated by.
The "rights" excuse is repeated as if they are bran washed. .implication being that individual and responsible THNKNG is out of the question.

There is no evaluation as to whether or why one might NEED a weapon........as opposed to wanting one. . simply because it is some right. ( or an interpretation of such a right)
Owning a weapon is a "rite of passage' in this culture.

No one NEEDS to vote... but it is our CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT.
No one NEEDS to protest... but it is our CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT.
NO ONE NEEDS to own or carry a gun... but it is our CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT.

No one DIES if folks don't vote. You can't compare lethal weapons with other rights. it is a category onto its ow. interesting that folks had guns long before they had the right to vote. Again. that is where the priorities lie. Humanity and HUMAN rights took much longer. The mold of priorities was set a long time ago. In reality .....not sure why we bother discussing this..... as with weapons',..... come killing. and if that is what is important to a culture... fine. It is their choice. We just go around incircles....and NOTHING is changed...... as no one is willing to change anything....no matter how small it might be.

In the meantime we can just keep track of the number dead....and their frequency. Guns themselves are more important than the destructive impact they can have on famines..

Let's face it...if anyone tried to do something serious and effective about this situation , the population would revolt ...and already have the weapons to create a crisis. So a total non starter.

I'm an American. I don't like minorities or individual despots determining my rights. We settled all that a long time ago and power seeking tyrants don't work here.
