I think blacks should take solace in the fact that these right wing racists are generally cowards who spout the drivel they do thanks to the anonymity of the internet.

The days of lynching, separate water fountains, burning crosses in back yards, etc, are over and NEVER coming back, and ultimately the racists know this.

So, basically all they have left now is to spread propaganda about blacks and other ethnic minorities hoping they could manipulate enough useful idiots into buying into their "race war" fantasies.

I keep telling idiot right wingers that blacks normally support liberal politicians, regardless of race. If Obama were some right wing whack job like Ted Cruz, he would have been lucky to have received 10% of the black vote.

Holler "racist" at people long enough, have enough Trayvon BS and Ferguson BS, and eventually, yes, even nonracists will start citing to black on white crime and black on black crime statistics. Holler "racist" at people who disagree with Obama or Holder's race-baiting from the freaking WH no less long enough, and eventually there will be reaction. Holler "racist" at people long enough about simple, common sense measures like picture ID post Fla 2000, and yes, there will be reaction ala purported black IQ differences. Same for the other things you list. It wasn't conservatives, Republicans, Southerners or anyone else who started that sh-tball rolling, it was a loud Democrat lie narrative repeated for 50 years with the aid of a compliant MSM. Then when they finally do rise to the bait, "see it's what we said all along, 1% of these folks do say racist things, so that means all our BS was right all along. They all, all those millions of people who are our political opposition are racists" Crap. Pure, unadulterated crap.

Not acknowledging this fact of circularity is the height of dishonesty.

nor do we need to. As long as blacks keep voting overwhelmingly for democrats, I would suggest that is prima facie evidence that we're doing something right as far as that demographic is concerned.... and if it ain't broke, why try to fix it?

The GOP, on the other hand, needs to decide whether it gives a damn about black votes, or whether they can make up that deficit with white tea partiers.

Again... with all the supposed evidence of democratic racism being thrust in the black man's face by caring and concerned republicans like yourself, one would think that such efforts on your part would bear fruit (other than strange fruit) at some point in time in the future, wouldn't you? So... I urge you to not give up the fight. Keep pointing out to young hip black men how the KKK was started by democrats over a century ago. I am sure it'll sink in sooner or later. Be strong.

the patriot doesn't want to tell you, but the GOP is pretty sure it's because most black voters are just too filled up with malt liquor and crack cocaine. If only they'd all sober up and get a job, they'd finally realize how the racist democrats have been keepin' them down on the urban plantation all these years.

You've got all this historical stuff about democrats since reconstruction and how horrible they were to blacks, and you think that, if blacks just read that stuff for the twelfth or thirteenth time, it would finally sink in. YOU are the one who has NOTHING. You got a basket full of facts that nobody cares about... and you have blacks in America staying away from your party in droves. Let me know when you come up with a really cool way to fix that, or just admit that you really don't care all that much about fixing it in the first place. I did. One black man is not going to change the voting habits of his race. You can dream otherwise, but I really could give a flying fornication. See... like I said... my party HAS all the black votes and your party doesn't. In my lifetime, I have watched the GOP struggle mightily with that issue and, in a half a century, they haven't gotten a single bit better at dealing with it. No matter how you spin it, it always comes out like, "If only you lazy Neeeeegroes would put down the malt liquor, sober up, quit making babies like rabbits, get jobs, and start pulling your weight around here, then you'd realize what a great party the GOP really is." Variations on a theme, perhaps, but the theme remains the same and all I can do is laugh at you all. Seriously.... that one aspect of American politics turns it from a tragedy to a comedy for me. It's like you can't make this stuff up!

I merely tried to capture the essence of the GOP appeal to blacks. In the democratic party, we welcome blacks just as they are. In my party we embrace them. They are an integral party of my party's leadership structure at all levels of party organization (compare the executive committee of the DNC versus the RNC: a rainbow versus lily white). We nominate them to office (look at how many black democrats are in congress), we elected them(even to the highest office in the land, and BOY, does that make you white republicans angry!). Your party does none of those things with any regularity (Uncle Mike Steele being the notable exception). The only way a black man makes it into a power meeting of GOP party heavyweights is if he is carrying a tray of martinis. If you find that offensive, trust me, so do I... and, more importantly, so do the vast majority of America's black people who can see through your party's act quite easily. You steadfastly - and publicly - deny the existence of a southern strategy, but behind closed doors, you're all laughing your tails off. You know there are enough racist white votes in America to balance out black votes for at least several election cycles to come... and you're banking on the short term memory of EVERYONE when your run comes to an end and whites are in the minority, hoping that nobody will recall your past sins. But hey, we democrats did sort of the same thing. We used to be the party of southern racists and blacks used to all vote for YOU guys.... then, we changed... and you saw an opportunity sitting by the road and decided to change too. All those klansmen sitting around without a party and the GOP stepped in and grabbed them up.... and THAT is how we have gone from a solid blue south to a solid red one in less than a century.

And, as I said earlier, it's not my problem. It's yours. Fix it or not.... your call.
