Did Biden mean misery for all when he spoke of unity?

I am curious as to why Pres. Biden is taking so many stances that go against his own supporters. Examples:

Although covid should be a bi-partisan issue, I have the feeling that his own Dems are more fearful of it. So, why admit illegals that you know test positive?

I've pointed out to many liberals that you can't have open borders and medicare for all both; it's an impossibility. I haven't had anyone argue over that point. But the response I always got was "what open borders?" Clearly Dems prefer medicare for all. So why open the borders instead of m for a?

Ruining women's sports. Surely regular women represent a bigger voting bloc than transgenders. So wth?

Why does it seem like he's trying to make his own supporters miserable (not to mention the rest of us)? Is it a calculated misery? Is he just showing them that he can do what he wants? Seems like political suicide to me.

 

Straw man argument. Very few liberals are arguing for "open" borders. The majority of Biden voters want controlled borders
such as we have had in the past with some paths to citizenship, mainly for DACA kids.

The proof that Biden is more of a centrist is that he's pissing off people at the far ends of both parties. Biden needs to hold on to
the Independents who voted for him at the midterms, and while the far left might not like him, they hate Republicans
more.

This is why I struggle with how I feel about Biden. I am unsure if he can really be held responsible. I am unsure if he really even understands what he is doing/saying. I mostly blame his family, and "handlers", and the Dem Party. No matter how things happen, this cannot end well for Joe Biden, and he seems like a nice guy; they shouldn't have pushed him to run for president, even if he was jumping up and down saying he wanted to. When you love someone, you protect them. You don't press them to get into something they can't handle, regardless of the money you might make or power you might wield.

I am a bit fuzzy about what a "liberal of any consequence" is. Apparently Pres. Biden is a liberal who favors open borders (obviously). But, no, of the liberals that I converse with, not a single one favored open borders if it means no medicare for all. One of them is my adult child, but I doubt you would define him as "any consequence."

The only illegals that he is allowing deportations on are those with murder convictions. Assault? No problem, serve your time and then stay as long as you like afterwards. Theft? No problem, serve your time and then stay as long as you like afterwards.

When the left denies "open borders" they go to the extreme. When everyone else talks about "open borders" they're talking about letting everyone in that the left thinks its safe enough to let in politically.

Trumpublicans believe that any borders even slightly less than totally closed are completely open. Conservatives rather obviously believe that ANY immigration is completely bad for the US. If they had their way we wouldn't have any trade either. The US would be a hermit kingdom. We're closed

 

Any rational person with a little maturity and a balanced mind knew that Biden was in the early stages of mental aging issue- diminishing functionality. The left didn't care; they needed name recognition to have a viable chance. It starts mildly, but always progresses- and the person can't it happening. However, it's obvious to the outside observer, so the people who promoted Biden knew this existed, and no doubt have a plan to remove him at some point. In a few days, I'm going to help take away the car of an 88 year old woman I've known for 50 years- the most independent person I ever met in my life. She drives 100 mph, down the middle of the road and is unaware of other traffic- has caused many near-misses and terrifies the locals in her rural area, and refuses to acknowledge there's anything wrong. This is Biden in the presidency- and while it's pitiful, it's also very scary because we are all passengers in the same car. It's a loss of judgement, of balance, of awareness, and it is extremely dangerous. The worst is yet to come.
