Florida Republicans introduce 3 new bills to expand state's 'Don't Say Gay' law

There is nothing in the law that says you cannot say the word "gay". Do YOU PEOPLE ever get tired of twisting things into lies? Most florida parents dont' want porn books in elementary school libraries

Nick names usually do not appear on the bills, and most of us understand they are nicknames. Either way, the bill violated the constitution, so the courts took it down. Besides, the Dont Say Gay bill was not about books, but about speech aka the "forbidden topics" lists.

 

"forbidden topics"? you mean like books with pictures of people performing oral sex on each other in a library for CHILDREN? you mean THOSE forbidden things? Wow that DeSantis, WHAT A PRUDE!

 

No, I meant what I said, - the Don't Say Gay bill is about classroom discussion, which is why they nicknamed is "Don't SAY Gay" If forbids discussion about sexual orientation etc 'forbidden topics". Book bans were under one of the other 11 culture war bills they passed

The Don't Say Gay bill was found uncontsutioonal, so the courts did what they had to do. You might not care about the Constitution, but the courts have sworn to uphold it.
