The problem is that a large body do not want to live under the Constitution's limitations. It is a current debate because over decades and centuries the SCOTUS has eroded away the limitations on the federal government a baby step at a time until now it is almost moot. But that is what SCOTUS ruled in overturning Roe v. Wade. They did not rule out abortions; they simply ruled it is none of the federal government's business or authority.

When does a late term abortion become a murder, which is not an inherent woman's (or anyone else's) right.

It was only a "states issue" while Roe was in effect.

If Trump wins, and he has the senate / house, a national ban will be forth coming and everyone knows that.

Was that before, or after Trump reinstituted and expanded the Global Gag Rule?

    https://www.plannedparenthoodaction.org/communities/planned-parenthood-global/end-global-gag-rule

Was that before, or after Trump appointed Charmaine Yoest to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Yoest, a former president of Americans United for Life, had charged that emergency contraception “has life-ending properties” (which is false)

Wat that before, or after the Trump administration finalized a policy that allowed more employers to opt out of providing no-cost birth control to women by claiming religious or moral objections. This effectively eliminated the birth control coverage guarantee3 ?

Was that before, or after Trump's American Health Care Act was introduced in the House. Had it become law, it would have caused millions to lose health coverage and blocked low-income patients’ access to STIs, cancer screenings, and birth control at Planned Parenthood health centers2.

    Yes, but....

Each state must also honor the individual's right to control his or her own body. Neither the government nor the church has any legitimate authority to tell the person how or what to do with his/her body.

You will find that in the Ninth Amendment--an exhaustive listing of the rights of the person is impossible.

Yes, churches don't have to provide free birth control pills to nuns. But if nuns want birth control pills, they don't need Planned Parenthood for birth control, they can just get it over the counter, a win for Trump, the GOP, the Nuns, and the Free American People.

The supreme court of the US turned it into a federal issue when they ruled on the allowability and limitations of abortion. That ruling applied equally to every state in the union.
If SCOTUS sticks to its guns such a federal ban (and I don't agree with your prognosis, though it will be kicked around) will be ruled unconstitutional. They ruled the Constitution does not give the federal government any authority to control or ban abortions.

There are things around abortion that the federal government can do (and has done for decades) such as insure that no federal money is used to preform abortions, though those wax and wane.

    A win for Trump?

My research indicates that the approval for over-the-counter contraception in the USA was achieved during the Biden administration, with the FDA approving the first birth control pill for over-the-counter sale on July 13, 2023 .

    Moreover,

California, Maryland, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, and Washington, all blue states, have passed laws requiring state-regulated private insurers to cover OTC contraception without a prescription and without cost sharing.

And what happened during Trump administration?

Trump reinstituted and expanded the Global Gag Rule

Trump appointed Charmaine Yoest to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Yoest, a former president of Americans United for Life, had charged that emergency contraception “has life-ending properties” (which is false)

    Exactly.

'SO YOU CAN NOW BUY BIRTH CONTROL PILLS WITHOUT A PRESCRIPTION AND ONLINE.'

'Another win for Trump and defeat for the Democrats.'

Trump supports birth control without prescription

    September 16, 2016

CNN 'Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said today that he’s not in favor of requiring a prescription to purchase birth control. “I would say it should not be a prescription; it should not be done by prescription.”'

'Over-the-Counter Contraception Is Immensely Popular. But Democrats Have Doomed It. In 2019, it's liberals, not conservatives, who are holding the pill hostage for political gain.'

'If you live in the United States, you can't obtain birth control pills without a prescription from a doctor. This federal requirement means that the roughly 10.6 million American women on oral contraception must accept regular, invasive, and unnecessary medical care as part of preventing pregnancy.'

'thanks to Obamacare, Democrats have become the primary impediment to freeing up rules around the sale of contraception.'

'it was Republicans—both men and women—who were pushing for easier access to the pill.'

'In January 2013, Republican Barbara Comstock, then a state representative, and 13 other Virginia lawmakers petitioned Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to make birth control pills non-prescription. "This is a reform that makes sense, and the Obama administration could quickly move on with bipartisan support,"'

Planned Parenthood makes BIG Money off RX Birth control pills and they are Big Bid Democrat Donors.

So 'prominent Democrats and groups such as Planned Parenthood started arguing against the idea.'

'"We have to be very careful not to put political pressure on the FDA without going through the regular process," Sen. Murray (Dem) said, slamming GOP politicians who were pushing for OTC access.'

'Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood, suggested, without evidence, that making pills available over the counter would hike costs for individual women to $600 a year. Republican politicians pushing for OTC pills, she said, would somehow "drag women back to the 1950s."'

'In 2014, Planned Parenthood's political arm bought ads in multiple states. "In its first TV ad buy of the 2014 cycle," noted HuffPost, "Planned Parenthood's political arm is warning voters in North Carolina and Colorado that Republican Senate candidates' support for over-the-counter birth control is not what it seems."'

'A representative 2015 piece in Salon by feminist writer Katie McDonough called the OTC pill push "a transparent attempt to chip away at the Affordable Care Act"'

    A Dark Chapter For Dems

'Democrats sacrificed an opportunity to help women struggling to obtain birth control prevent unintended pregnancies. Instead, at the expense of undocumented immigrants, low-income women, victims of domestic violence, and others, they opted to help middle-class women save $10 a month—and prop up insurance providers, pharmaceutical companies, and the Democratic fundraising machine in the process.'

Weird how you missed all this even while you claim your sources are superior. If your sources are so great how come you get so many issues wrong?

    Not.

'Kari Lake Blasts Abortion Ban She Once Was ‘Thrilled’ About'

    snip:

" Lake, who previously called the 1864 ban a “great law,” said she opposes Tuesday’s ruling and called on the state legislature to come up with an “immediate common sense solution that Arizonans can support.”

“I am the only woman and mother in this race,” Lake said in a statement. “I wholeheartedly agree with President Trump—this is a very personal issue that should be determined by each individual state and her people.”

Lake previously attempted to walk back her statements on the law—which she told a conservative radio host she would be “thrilled” to see take effect—in an interview with NBC News earlier this month."
