No he did not. Out of 450 seats in the Verkhovna Rada Ukrayiny, Ukraine's National Parliment, only two parties out of the Russian backed parties that were banned, only the Opposition Party-For Life had 43 seats out of 450 and Opposition Party-Party for Peace and Development which had 6 seats in the Ukraine National Parliment. The party that has a slim majority is the political party, Servant of the People, which has 242 seats. In addition, other parties include European Solidarity with 27 seats, Batkivshchyna with 25 seats, For the Future with 21 seats, Hokos with 20 seats, and Trust Party with 6 seats. There are 4 other minor parties with one seat each.

Only 3 of those parties actually hold seats in the Ukrainian parliament, and combined they make up around 50 seats out of the 450 seats in the Ukrainian parliament.

To put that in perspective for you, during the American revolution about 20% of the colonists were loyal to Britain, and not only were they prohibited from holding any seats when the Articles of Confederation were established, but the government allowed the states to confiscate the property of known loyalists (which they did).

This is just the LATEST ROUND of political opponent removal and media removal. Way back...last year...Zelensky had his main political opponent arrested and removed 3 TV stations. One of the TV stations had just done a piece on Zelensky cozying up to prominent Neo-nazis.

You're right it doesn't compare, because we went a lot farther with it.. we actually took the property away from people who were loyal to Britain, and we had a lot more British loyalists than Ukraine does Russian loyalists. Ukraine is only suspending Russian loyalists from government activity.

That's another point to make, we weren't even fully a sovereign country from Britain yet.

 

To understand the new rules when talking about Ukraine we are supposed to assume 3 things.

1. Ukraine is an American state. Not a foreign country of white Slavs in Eastern Europe. Libos are so invested in hating Putin and pushing lies about Russian collusion and misinformation they cannot help themselves on this. What is funny is that if Ukraine was an American state they would not care about the borders and would be calling the population there privileged.

2. Zelensky is a heroic centrist democrat!

3. Democrats and their friends abroad care nothing for civil liberties and will defend assaults on them in every thread of this forum.

I would love for somebody to find a post by me opposing any economic sanctions against Russia government or private. Nestle announced they will not be selling their brands in Russia that is fine with me. Can't buy Russian securities on my Schwab account. I'm fine with that.
