Neither since the chances of a medieval art and poets would have little knowledge of HVAC systems and a person with a trade school certificate most likely can't afford to pay the higher weekend rates to an HVAC person since they generally do not make that much money compared to someone with a bachelor degree. :)

^^An empty lie of the type perpetrated by those with very low self-esteem.^^

You did? What did you sit on?

Here's what you haven't figured out: different trades, skills, knowledge, and expertise for different problems. Or do you really think there is only one type of problem? "If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail."

No, if you are not capable of learning scientific thinking you are worthless regardless of academic achievement.

And by Scientific thinking I mean deductive reasoning, ability to critique and apply research to hypothesis to determine truth or falsehood

In other words you don't swallow bullshit just because it fits some crackpot conspiracy theory you read on the internet

What you dont have and what is not in texts is the knowledge of what commonly goes wrong. I find when I talk to a mechanic or an electrician or any Tradie they can tell me "Oh Don''t buy a ******** because this or that part always fails and it is expensive

Yeah you can get there but a good tradie will take less time, less effort and a lot less swearing (although when things go wrong no-one can swear like a pissed off Aussie Tradie!!)

If and when NK lights off a nuke several miles up over the US, who would you rather have as a neighbor? A plumber, a carpenter, or a PhD computer programmer?

I have a college degree and I can fix all of the above myself!

The OP's fallacious assumption just exposes the obliviousness of the extremist alt right when it comes to dealing with reality. Just because someone has a college education does not mean that they lack practical skills.

Actually it wasn't a housing and mortgage crash. That is just one of those false narratives that Republicans use to cover the fact that Republican economic ideology is guaranteed to end in failure. One only has to take a look a Kansas to see what is at play. When Brownback and company came to office they enacted all the crazy conservatives economic ideas. The Kansas economy has been in yucky muck ever since. Unlike Oregon, where all the crazy liberal ideas have been enacted. The difference however is that Oregon's economy is tied with first, as to growth while Kansas sits in dead last.

    http://www.latimes.com/business/hiltzik/la-fi-hiltzik-kansas-economy-20161031-story.html

If you notice, there was no need to fix the housing situation to get us out of the recession. The housing market naturally came back as the recession eased. It was combinations of tax cuts, which allowed the wealthiest to take money out of the system and reduced banking regulations, which allowed banks to engage in questionable practices.

When the crisis hit, even though there was an up tic in mortgage failures, the numbers were minuscule compared to the failures in the aftermath of the savings and loans scandals in the 80's and 90's. If you follow the money, as they say, the crash came about because credit dried up, which makes it a banking failure, and companies were unable to secure the operating loans to keep their business running.

When the crash was at its worse I was thriving creating and installing public art at a housing development for older folks. Because I self finance I was able to continue as if nothing had happened, unlike some of my competition.

Let me think about this for a bit. Conservatives tend to be on the same page on most issues, and they also tend to be wrong. I'd say indoctrination explains the mentality on the right. It's not like there isn't thousands of radio stations across the country pounding out the same message that conservatives posters post on this and other forums.

However whenever the subject of colleges and so-called liberal indoctrination, certain things come to mind. For instance, it makes clear that most conservatives have never been to college. It is like the dum-dum brigade is boldly proclaiming what they do not know.

From my own experience, and that of those that I have talked to, on the subject, it is quite the opposite of what conservative know-nothings claim. You see in grades kindergarten throughout twelfth grade massive amount of social engineering goes on. So much so that I can confidently claim that those few B's that I got in school had more to do with me rubbing the teacher the wrong way, and not because I din't know the material. Once I got to college I was taken aback by the total lack of social engineering. I got straight A's precisely because the professors never cared what I thought outside of the subject at hand.

When colleges block right wing speakers it is not just the administrators but also the students who really don't want to hear the racist moronic much that passes for right wing rhetoric. Apparently conservatives are unaware that college students tend to be intelligent enough to see through the right wing rhetoric. It isn't that colleges, students, and administrators are being bigoted against right wing speakers, it is more that we have heard your crap, are tired of hearing it, and are rejecting conservatives and the wacko silly things that conservatives pretend is true.

    1. Democrats opposed the 1964 Civil Rights Act, for blacks. Republicans passed it despite the hateful racism of the Democratic Party.
    2. The Democratic Party was FORMED to keep slavery.
    3. The Republican Party was FORMED to stop slavery, and elected Abraham Lincoln as its first president.
    He signed the Emancipation Proclamation.
    4. Margaret Sanger created Planned Parenthood to murder unborn black babies. Today Planned Parenthood is killing black babies at 6 times the rate of the black population. You Democrats champion this vile racism.
    5. Divisiveness is a malicious tactic used by Democrats to maintain black America's vote and ignorant America's vote and poor America's vote and socialist America's vote.
    6. "Public education is a socialist monopoly, a real one." - The Late Milton Friedman

Now from Elbert Guillory, a lesson on racism you desperately need to learn, while I put you on my Ignore List:

It is as if you are telling me that conservatives, like yourself, are uneducated, highly ill-informed, and massively jealous of liberals. It helps explain why conservatives, like yourself, are so often demonstrably wrong on so many subjects.

Just to add to your fits of envy, you might be interested to know that college educated people tend to live longer healthier lives than non-college educated people and are much less likely to become obese.

I'm kind of confused here. When you wrote this, er I meant, cut and pasted it, did think that your post (paste) reflected reality or are you just being facetious. For instance the Democrats that opposed the civil rights were from the south. After the passage of the act there was a mass exodus of racists from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party were they all are today. The Democratic Party is an outgrowth of the popularity of Thomas Jefferson and his ideas. Originally it was called the Democratic-Republicans. While the Republican party began as a movement to end slavery, the modern party is decidedly racist. Just take a look at something as passive as Black live Matter. Reactions by Republican voters from all over the country clearly demonstrate that modern Republicans are rather hostile to blacks. Wasn't one of the main impetuses for supporting Trump the fact that America isn't staying as white as many Republican voters would like it to be.

Doesn't matter though does it? Pick a subject and the conservative side is sure to fabricate facts to fit whatever load of baloney they are puking up at the moment.

Really? You think this is an *absurd* movie scenario? This was discussed in recent Senate hearings as a distinct danger from North Korea. What planet do you live on?
