Here is the problem with China on CV19

I think the Biden Administration was on the way to a closer situation with China but this Covid crap has changed the world situation so much who knows what's next. It's a volatile situation and the lockdown brought it all home to us. Now we are seeing factions divided over taking the vaccine, what a thing to fight about. We're not in Kansas anymore.

How many shots did they fire?

 

I have seen zero evidence of that. Biden has pushed for serious investigation of COVID origins - something Trump did not do.

Biden is poushing for significant changes in how we interact with China economically in order to defend against the practices we see from China.

We do need to have a rational relationship with China, but I don't see Biden as taking any moves that would hint at ceding our position.

I will say about Biden what was said about our past president, Biden is killing hundreds of thousands of Americans and he has the benefit of having the Trump vaccines.

Pfizer and the rest had designed vaccines within a couple weeks of having the COVID genome that China gave us.

The rest of the time had to do with testing and manufacturing.

In the mean time, our defense against COVID was significantly limited to public health initiatives such as workplace guide lines, masks, social distancing, reduction in numbers and size of groups, limits on travel, ensuring availability of the PPE, vents and other medical supplies, etc.

Trump was absolutely pathetic on every one of those aspects of our defense. Furthermore, he projected that COVID was something that we just didn't need to worr;y about and would go away naturally - which was a serious setback to all public health initiatives

The moment he entered office he killed the group that Obama had set up to work on national defense against just this kind of issue. He then killed deals for two different companies who wanted to refurbish and run machines that could create a million masks per day, but could not afford to do so on their own.

He promoted ludicrously false medical approaches - even including household disinfectants

He failed to even moderate travel from Europe, and Europe was the source of almost ALL the COVID infecting America.

He refused to use the defense production act in almost every single case where that could have helped with the PPE that was in short supply in hospitals - where hospital staff were dying of COVID an FAR above the national average, basically sacrificing their lives in defense of America.


Then, YOU come along and suggest he was a HELP??? Seriously??

 

Maybe you haven't heard but mankind was just ravaged by a virus that nature probably didn't create, which indicates there is a threat we were heretofore unaware of. Something just hit me, and everyone I know, with a force that previously only nature was capable of. That's a threat. And I want to know what is behind it. Yesterday.

 

Folks, that is not the first time a Democrat pulled up fly specks to blame Trump over yet give him no credit at all.

At this time there is NO evidence accepted by biological science that this virus isn't fully natural.

I know full well that some folks tried to concoct a conspiracy theory on that basis, but that is all it is.

Yes, we absolutely need to be investigating the origin and method of conveyance to the public of this virus. Absolutely.

We have to do that in order to be maximally prepared for the next one of these events.

I would further suggest that we need strong ties with the lab at Wuhan. They are the experts in SARS that is so endemic in bats and some other animals throughout that region. Making this a "hate China" think like Trump did is a DISASTER. We may hate it, but we need to work WITH them.

Only two states have EVER had a significant percent of infections from strains that came directly from China.

Almost every single state in the USA got the MAJORITY of their infections from viruses that traveled the world and entered the US from Europe.
