I think you can pretty much count Herman Cain out of the primary elections. In a recent interview, he stated that if somebody isn't rich then to BLAME THEMSELVES! That's basically a nicer way of saying that it's your fault! Does this guy realize that the rumors AREN'T TRUE. Most Republicans ARE NOT RICH! Most are misled souls who are following the party that represents the rich! So basically, Herman Cain is "insulting" most of the "average joe" Republicans who would have voted for him. Better luck next time Herman Cain!

P.S. One last thing I would like to add to this post is that there are millions of people out there who are "destined" to become rich. Unless you're born into a rich family, you need A LOT OF LUCK and the RIGHT ENVIRONMENT to become wealthy. It's not just an issue of being smart and working hard. Maybe Herman Cain needs to realize that if he had done one single thing differently which led to his success, he probably wouldn't be where he is now. LUCK was a huge part of his success.

It is my fault. I don't want to be rich. I want to be comfortable and not envious of what others have. I am that way right now on $40k/year.

Cain is right. Building wealth has more to do with hard work than all other factors combined. It's all about your attitude. A weak man puts up his own roadblocks, a strong man drives a bulldozer.

Just because you and the rest of the rabble don't like to hear that, doesn't make it false.

Oh, and this attitude will not lose Cain the primary, nor the presidency. His demeanor is mild mannered and his attitude is always positive. He can beat HObama without even trying.

Envious! I think the word is "disgusted". People out there are angry because of what these huge corporations are doing to this country. One thing that I'm personally against is sending all of our jobs overseas for cheaper labor. Corporations do this because they rely on a "code of ethics" to make their decisions. In other words, they're like ROBOTS - NOT HUMANS. This has created an ENORMOUS trade deficit which is losing our economy about half a trillion dollars a year. We're basically like a company that isn't making a profit and is living off investor's money. And one thing you need to realize is that people get rich off the BOTTOM. The bottom creates the market and the rich SELL to that market. That's why so many small businesses and even some corporations go out of business during a recession. Everything is LINKED together like out in the wild. Saying that corporations don't get rich off the BOTTOM is like saying that a Lion can survive without grass.

Everyone has a comfort zone. The shame(I mean honest to God SHAMEFUL) is people who want it all but refuse to do the work. Being self-sufficient and building a business is headache upon headache and highly stressful. Most people don't have the temerity to tackle it.

Good for you on your attitude. Not everyone wants to be wealthy and there are many more important things in life than money.

It has nothing to do with envy toward the rich! It has to do with the prosperity of the country as a whole! You guys have so much hate in you that you DON'T GET IT.

I think I prefer the good old fashioned American system where a little luck is needed along with the hard work to get to the top, rather than the system where government holds everybody back so that no matter how hard they work the only top level there is is reserved for government bureaucrats who decide how much everybody else "needs" and takes away any "excess." In the current system an unlucky person will fail, in the system some people want everybody fails because there is little incentive to work, but they don't think they've failed because the top is so close to the bottom.

Quit buying imported products, you and everyone else wanted cheap goods, well you got them at the expense of American jobs. Buy American, keep the jobs here, but thats isolationist right? Maybe when you get a clear thought in your head come back to use.

Greg, Cain is right. The only person holding you back is your own limitations that you put on yourself.

While your at it explain to me what these "evil" corporations are doing that cause you to be unable to make more for yourself. I keep hearing how evil wall street and companies are, but it's so generalized none of you guys on the left can name anything specific. Nit sounds like your just pissed off at life and your trying to find something to complain about.

LOL. That's not even possible! If it was, I would. When was the last time you walked into a department store and saw a "Made In America" remote control? How about a television? Or a computer? I think I made my point.

Do you want to get rich? Then start a Made In America department store! You might have to raise about 100 million dollars, but that would probably work out quite well. At least until Congress decides to represent THIS COUNTRY and puts sanctions against these growing countries that are intentionally devaluing their currency.

Sorry, Greg, but the leftists have the hate pretty much sewed up. Herman Cain is right but I realize that socialists have to blame someone for their failure and the failure of their silly system.

I don't pity you, Greg, but you should consider accepting a little responsibility for your life.

    Ok. Very generalized once again.

Why is our government, which isn't a company or wall street, spending more then it brings in? Did you vote for Obamacare? If so, you just voted for more spending of money we don't have.

So again, it's all governmen related, not companies or wall street, but government doin this. So again I ask for you to be more specific.

People who don't understand why Cain's statement is true have never committed to anything long enough to accomplish it. Instead of earnestly working to improve themselves, they have wasted all of their time making excuses.

You can succeed, or you can make excuses. But you cannot do both at the same time. Which one are you currently doing?

It's obvious you are unable to defend your generalized comments any further.

    Good day....

What do you want to know? I already told you that the bottom has to succeed in order for the top to succeed. I also believe that Republicans are DESTROYING our country by supporting deregulation which allows the very companies that have lead this country to economic disaster to do whatever they want. Taxing the top and moving that money to the bottom helps RESTORE the environment that allows people to become rich. Building up our trade deficit and BORROWING that money back also causes problems. The only way to fix that is to balance trade which many Republicans are against.

Taking money from productive people and giving it to unproductive people is not going to create opportunity for anyone. The opposite will occur.

Regulation is going crazy right now, and we are worse off than ever. So much for your theory about deregulation.

Look at our trade deficit? What do you think that's caused by? It's extremely unhealthy for our economy to allow over 500 billion dollars a year to LEAK OUT. Any economist that isn't partisan would agree with me on this one. We need to PROTECT our wealth so the rest of us can get rich.

Our trade deficit is created by importing oil. It, and the war on drugs, has made the cartels rich beyond conception. This can be rectified if the people would stand together and demand it. Instead of arguing about who to blame.

Some people are estimating that about $300 billion dollars this year is going to be from China.
