How is the South inherently 'racist'?

I'm a native Mississippian and have lived here all my life except for 4 years in Connecticut. What you say is absolutely true. You won't find a lily-white town in Mississippi, but they're all over New England. Many of these New Englanders would have to buy a ticket to see a black person. Me? I just walk out my door.

I don't know why the OP believes that there is more racism in the South but there certainly is a boatload of it here on these boards.

More people here need to be as open as you are, then we can really have quality discussions about politics. I have no doubt in my mind that there are a lot of people on this forum, even in this very thread that feel exactly as you do about black and brown people, but will never come out and say it. Instead they choose to play word games and want to cry foul when someone calls them out.

Interesting enough you sound a lot like a poster here who was banned, but that is for another discussion.

 

I don't know if my conclusion is pc although I will admit my desired result maybe a little more optimistic than what can be expected in the near future.

Exactly. I actually had an interesting discussion with another poster recently on here from Oregon who seemed awfully proud of himself that he knew a Mexican, a lesbian, and a mixed couple. I said that would be called my neighborhood here. I've never known a different life than that. I walk out my door every morning and I might see 5 or 6 people before I see another white male. And I don't live in some remote part of town either. It's pretty average. Then I go to places like Massachusetts or Wisconsin and I just scratch my head and ask, "Where's all the black people? Where's all the hispanics? Where's all the asians?" It's weird not seeing Mexican restaurants on every corner. It's weird not hearing hip hop blasting out of car stereos at every red light. And then I go a few hours east to New Orleans every year and there's no white people there anywhere. The entire city looks like Lil' Wayne.

I know you know what I'm talking about too, man. I've been driving through Mississippi all my life. I've got friends and family all along the coast from here to Georgia. People like you and I don't even pay attention to diversity. We're just so used to it. It's just another day at the office for us. No big deal. These other people that live in these homogenized areas make such a big deal about what color everyone is. Its' just so weird to me. I guess it's a big deal if you never see it.

When they feel a little intimidated by a discussion...they invariably trot out the KKK......which would have died out years ago if it had not been for the FBI informants recruited....I kid you not...the KKK became a front group for the FBI who would then go around entrapping gullible good ole boys into going for a ride and someone in the car would shoot at a negro house or something and guess who got the blame?

It is the 'fashion' now for entertainers to use the kkk to get applause from the pc crowd in the audience.

Anyhow .....I just want to point out that I asked a poster who believes that racism is the greatest evil under the sun to tell me one thing wrong with racism and we all saw his lame response...which simply reveals the fact that these clowns have no clue as to what they go on about.

Someone else who doesn't know their history......the great migration by the negroes northward occurred during and after WWII because there were so many good paying jobs up there at that time....now the migration has reversed....most of the good decent colored folk are coming back down South to get away from all the crime mainly and this has been going on for quite a few years now.....try and keep up.

Despite all the stats and evidence that clearly shows the great preponderance of interracial crime is of a black on white nature....the liberals on here continue to entertain the myth of black victimhood and white racism.

The phenomenon of black teen violence on lone whites often older white males or white women and even babies as was the recent incident in Brunswick, G. where two black teens killed a white baby....has been going on for a few years now but the media even if they report it...dismiss it as typical teen behavior...never mentioning that it is always black on white violence.
