UC Berkeley once again hosting its blacks only graduation event. So are we going back to segregation in society?

Is this how elements of the left "fight racism" ? Didn't we go through the civil Rights era and lots of pain and suffering to make schools a desegregated place?

How sad that such an important event can't be shared by all, regardless of race.

 

Rented the Grand Ballroom at the local Holiday Inn for it did they? Hope they had a good turnout.

“The Department of African American Studies plans on hosting our annual Black Graduation ceremony, which is open to all majors and degree programs across the campus,” read the announcement.

The invite (hyperlink in the link in the OP) reads as follows…

“OPEN TO UNDERGRADUATES AND GRADUATES, AFRICAN AMERICAN STUDIES MAJORS AND STUDENTS IN ALL OTHER MAJORS AND COLLEGES”

I don’t know for sure but I’m going to guess not everyone who majored in African Studies is black.

 

But of course if any University dared to host a whites only graduation event you would never hear the end of it.

It appears that only black people are allowed to choose segregation by race.

 

With all the assistance certain people get, why, after all these years, does it appear to not be working and more assistance is needed?

Yes, putting people on ignore on a forum is equivalent to needing a safe space.

I have several people on ignore because all they do is Trump, Trump and more Trump. Putting them on ignore is the equivalent of closing the windows so the bugs don’t come in. You can call that a safe space but it pales compared to what the left does.

 

Keep Black people happy and let them cleave to themselves. It'll be better for everyone involved I suppose.

What fake accusations? You've called successful black men you dislike an Uncle Tom on this forum at least a dozen times this year by my recollection. How can you possibly deny that? Suddenly now you're offended at the thought of people calling others an Uncle Tom? You've defended your behavior ad nauseam. Let me know when conservatives call those taking this major or graduating an Uncle Tom because they dislike them. Nobody complains about blacks graduating. They complain about blacks being admitted on racist grounds.
