Oh, yeah. They all had one god or another that motivated their thinking. These "gods" we actually archetypal entities, inside their minds. The were the seven dominant psychic forces we recognize as Libido and Ego, etc. People today recognize these psychic forces but pay little attention to the fact they are ancient thinking apparati that come back when we are born. They respond to life in ways that they learned to, after having developed and evolved in our former life experiences. The Libido in us is the Satan people recognized, for instance, but though was a spirit that entered into from outside. Sex and force and war and physical being is tied up in this mechanism, and people saw "him" operating in others too.
Yes. These men listened to Truth, which is also inside us all. Truth has been formed inside the Unconscious mind by actual experiences in our species and even before then. Truth is a god available, but one most people would rather fight against. They already have a motive in selfishness, and the Truth would tell them that doesn't pay off.
It is amusing how you think you can distinguish between those who didn't listen to the truth - Hammurabi, Cyrus and all the other leaders whose god told them what to do, and the others like Moses, Noah, Isaiah etc, etc who did. What is truth?
The problems for this is that no-one knows when the world 'began'. And when did the Jubilees begin? When did the Jews settle in Canaan? No-one knows the answer to these. So how can he/or anyone else give a date?
On a short timeline I prophecy that my cup of tea will be cold in 5 minutes. Another failed prophecy. I finished my tea in 2.5 minutes.
That's a very specific prophecy. The kind unlikely to come true unless there turns out to be multiple universes, in which case there's probably eventually going to be a universe where that comes true. Of course, the word prophecy itself connotes a more significant prediction over more time. My point is, the world isn't dying.
Only trouble is there is no evidence that any such prophecy was made by this Rabbi, http://www.fresh-hope.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55609 It was started in 2007 in Israel Today Can you provide any evidence for your claims? .
But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. Matthew 24:36 Every single prediction of when Jesus returns has been wrong and they will continue to be. Some have been somewhat convincing, I remember someone, late 80's early 90's named Whisenhunt (sp) had a pamplet. Of course in the 60's there was the incredibly wrong prediction of the jehohah witnesses. I'm glad that you don't believe this.
pamplet? jehohah? meanwhile, isn't it lucky no one knows except the dad (and he ain't talking ... as per usual)! imagine if the authors hadn't realised the need for an escape clause, and were stupid enough to put in a few dates
they will just change the date, they will never stop believing, kinda like when Christians predict the end of days.....
So sorry but even Jesus said we would not know the day of his return, so your post is simply more speculating, always fun but rarely correct.
I had similar thoughts.....when is somebody ever going to say, "This is going to happen tomorrow" ? Or, " today at 3 o'clock" ???
in other words they are two different people, not one and the same, meaning jesus did not have sex with his child mother and his mother give birth to Jesus
shhhhh .. don't tell prunepicker! - - - Updated - - - good catch! such a tangled (*)(*)(*)(*)ing web they weave
