So for Trump to appeal this verdict does he have to put 83.3 million in a bond/escrow like he had to do while appealing the 5 million awarded to EJ Carroll in the first trial?

Trump could have avoided the high award by shutting his mouth, but he seems incapable ... just like when he spills national secrets at dinner parties.

no but I have tried some rather large civil cases, and the awards were idiotic compared to far worse cases. and the jury was trying to compensate the parents for the deaths of their children. the court was awful in allowing that sort of idiocy to prevail. intentional unlawful killings have resulted in far lower damages such as an FBI agent-acting on illegal orders, shooting Vicky Weaver fatally

 

As if she could make us believe that this humiliating defeat had no effect on her.

I can't see SCOTUS upsetting a Jury finding (I am referring to the first Trial.) I can't see SCOTUS upsetting the award from the second Trial given there is zero doubt punitive damages were required. And...you watch....Humpty will go again, and there will be another Trial and more punitive damages.

If I was his opponent or a journalist, I'd taunt the shit out of him with the finding of sexual assault, that he has to cough $M83.3 etc, and he will fall right into it, opening the window yet again for Carroll to go yet again.

 

In 5 years and millions for the appeal, maybe she will see a few dollars. Maybe not. Time will tell. She is even older than the Donald.
