Kavanaugh, Ford set to testify in Senate Judiciary Committee hearing

An alleged event that could have happened in locations unknown, month unknown and even year unknown

 

I agree. I was happy to see that she explained why she sent the letter. And she explained - very well - the timing issue.

 

It relates to my interpretation of her motivation. I think that she is not comming forth out of civic duty but out of personal revenge. I believe that she wants to crash the Kevanaugh nomination for her personal reason not for the country. So that supports my contention that her motivation was personal not political.

 

Listening to the cross examining attorney, I am struck with the opposite impression. Her story is remarkably consistent. She was presented with several statements that she made detailing the events and asked to make any correction. The extent of her corrections are, thus far:

"Four other people" should have been "at least four other people"
"PJ was a bystander" to "PJ was at the party, but not in the room when the assault took place, so I don't want to call him a bystander"
"Four men and two women" should have been "Four men and two women, counting myself as one of those women"
"Brett pushed me into the room" should have been "I was pushed from behind by either Brett or Mark, possibly both"

What other inconsistencies have you heard?

 

She has no evidence

Not even one person who can back up her story

 

I'm not watching, I'm depending on y'all to keep up the running commentary.

 

Four people have offered sworn testimony to claim that she told them about this event years ago.

And the only people who can "back up her story" in the sense that they can confirm what happened in that room are the two alleged assailants.

 

There are two other men who claim they were the ones who "assaulted" her. How can that be. Why are these two men claiming that they were the ones? Are they protecting someone?

 

Also, she clarified that she was pushed into the room by Brett to one of the boys pushed me from behind but both were there...

Slightly bigger mistake, but if she didn't know who pushed her, she shouldn't have started with that... it's enough to say that both were behind her and one of them pushed her...

 

Its a fair question

If her lifestyle did not take an abrupt change that is a big red flag

So if I understand your original post correctly, would you be more likely to believe her story if she had said that she came forward because she wants personal revenge against Kavanaugh?

And none of those people have corroborated under written statements. Which is the same effect as this testimony. So should I believe her over five people? And why?

Her 'physical descriptions' of the event, are not a physical description of the suspect. They're not even a physical description of the room she was locked in. Speaking of which, that's the biggest written contradiction that I'm not sure was answered. She claims that Mark locked the door during the event, and then she claims that because they toppled over, she escaped.

Never, in any prior written statement did she say that she unlocked the door, or that the door was unlocked. Creating a physical impossibility unless she can make that statement.

 

You don't get to dictate how other folks feel or how they react to trauma. That's an untenable stance to take.

I would say so far it looks more like Kavanaugh abused an innocent girl.

She lost me at ‘elitist’ versus ‘elite’ when describing Georgetown High School........tells me how her hippocampus works.....

 

She was believable. Kavanaugh has his work cut out for him.

 

And that testimony also refutes her opening statement that she didn't tell anyone until 2018. There certainly were more questions that could/should've been asked under cross examination "You want to testify against this statement"

 

That's not how we judge innocence/guilt in this country, she's still failed to establish proof that Kavanaugh and Judge were there, or that anyone was there.
