Leftists think the right is dangerous and a threat to democracy because they not used to being challenged. That's going to change, they're going to have a lot of experience with being challenged.

The suppression of free speech is never to 'protect the innocent'. It's always to protect a powerbase with ulterior motives.

I’m curious about that since Twitter has never recovered it’s stock value it once had before Trump and others were booted and likeminded like me voluntarily left or never joined.

That they can't see the absurdity of controlling speech as a means of 'saving democracy', is fantastic though. I haven't stopped laughing for three minutes solid!

It would help if "religious populist America first conservatives" didn't attack the capitol, attempt to kill Pence, Pelosi and others, and try to overthrow a legitimate election. And it would help greatly if they didn't support an obvious thug, con man, pathological liar, crackpot, and idiot. After supporting trump, the "religious" have ZERO credibility. The party of "family values" has been reduced to a joke.

Beating cops with American Flag poles was a particularly interesting touch.

But they do have a lot of guns. Nothing more dangerous than fanatics with weapons.

When Trump was banned from Twitter, the stock went from $45 to $77 in a month.

    Credibility pays off.

    Are you still laughing?

Because you think it was Trump's absence that finally had a negative effect on the stock over a year later?

    Some seriousness here.

Trump may be the center of your attention, but that's far from the case for millions of other Twitter followers.

No, but I do think they've lost credibility with their partisan censorship, and that happens to line up rather nicely with your theory that stock price reflects credibility.

You believe this because you see the world through your MAGA glasses.

    The reality is quite different.

The number of Twitter followers has grown from 353 million in 2020 to 396 million today (+12%).

    How is Truth Social 'growing'?

So, who is stopping those people from starting their own social media site? Not the gov't.

    How do you figure that?
Can't the non liberal, non extremists start their own social private network?

Companies like twitter rely on accounts and the ability to advertise to those who own accounts.
So, they can choose who they want to keep accounts based on their own TOS so they can continue to sell ads.

Because Ads is how they generate revenue. So as a business, the goal is to make money in our capitalist society.

And there is nothing to stop RW from creating their own website to get people to sign up so they can sell ads to that group of people.

How come it is so hard to some to know that free speech applies to the gov't. Not pvt business who want to make $$$$.
Businesses cater to their customers, especially those that rely on ad sales to generate revenue.

A requirement of the constitution is to understand who the constitution is referring to. HINT: Pvt companies are not part of it.

    ...
    First Amendment

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Exactly, Musk could be buy trumps now social media platform if he wanted to give trump his voice. But, I guess losing money doesn't is not something Musk prefers to do.

If Musk wanted to really troll people, he could sell the company to Trump.

That of course would put Progressives in a real dilemma about whether to buy an electric car.

Members of a cult rarely realize it, see the ones in congress defend 1-6ers as an example, they just don't see it, ironically, once in jail, many of the 1-6ers saw the light

This doesn't have anything to do with Truth Social. We were discussing the relationship between Twitter's share price and their credibility. Both have declined recently, wouldn't you agree?

Elon has pledged to make the algorithms public domain so everyone can see in full transparency. I bet the Leftists fear he may also release the algorithms used by Twitter during the last election cycle.
