Sure world leaders they don't agree with. Musk will change all that.

Is that what the elite believe? There are remedies of course, none of them include actively turning off political discourse you don't like. When BLM marched on the whitehouse, or femnazis invaded the SCOTUS, those were what again? "mostly peaceful" protests... Y'all need to learn what consistency means. I get it. You recognized early that Trump might seriously undo all that hard work establishing the power bases in DC and he threatened that power your team believes they are entitled to. So, you call folks names, its a method. You actively attacked a protected class of Americans. You realize that, right?

If you think you have a better candidate, offer one up. Rally the base, get a candidate that you think will represent your value. What you don't do is actively suppress opposition voices. It's F'in un-American. And Twitter can do far worse than having Musk as its new owner.

The true collusion. And when twitter is exposed to all, the criminality of those who ran it can be fully examined and prosecuted for their illegal interference in a national election.

My first question is, why are democrats so adamantly against an African American owning Twitter??

Technically since 1/8/2021 was less than a few weeks before his term ended the banned his personal account. His POTUS account was still active.

So you’re saying they banned a world leader while he was a world leader? Good to know.

Both of you should discuss this with Musk.

Because he wants to pay $40 billion for Twitter (+15% a share).

Hopefully, you'll be able to talk some sense into him.

Putin runs the Kremlin. The Kremlin says what he wants and approves to say.

    What don't you understand?

Twitter will never suspend a government account.

I think that is one of the big reasons everyone on the Left is losing their minds over the Marketplace of Ideas being restored.

So you now agree that the textualists or originalists in the supreme court are full of crap? Good. Because you trying to twist that somehow the founders surely would have also meant to protect free speech from very large corporations if they had only been able to foresee it is pretty funny, consider most conservatives pray at the alter of scalia and thomas the strict constituionalists. Also, somehow trying to argue that the founders could not have possibly foreseen such power in the hands of so few is really funny (only 6 percent of the population was allowed to vote in 1800). And it's not like there weren't many newspapers back then as really one of the sole ways of communicating.
So the party of money is speech, give corporations unfettered ways to give money to politicians (cause it's speech), now feel that corporations are defacto governments?
    Too rich.
personally i don't think twitter made a wise business decision in moderating some speech, and I beleive absolutely in the 1st ammendment (the real 1st ammendment, not this one that you have invented for corporations). I couldn't care less if twitter and facebook disspaeared off the face of this planet. But this is NOT A 1ST AMMENDMENT ISSUE IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM

Awesome. Then you have no issues if Musk is successful and opens it up to all ilks and not be selective on who can and cannot post. I do agree, however, that if all social media were to just dissappear, society as a whole would vastly improve overnight.

I don't have one. So, go ahead and take over nothing. LOL.

Why won't he buy trumps and run it exactly the way he wants to run one?
    It'd be a lot cheaper.

    What does 'in general' mean?
There's no free speech in general, just speech.
Free speech refers to our gov't not limiting anyone's speech.

All other speech by those not of the gov't can be regulated by those listening or in social media cases, their very own rules. Like this forum has.
Have you ever got a warning or infraction here? If so, this site is limiting your free speech, in general.

Coolio, so when it turns out that the folks at Twitter, Dorsey for example, were colluding with democrats in government to attack their political opponents or silence their POVs and opinions, you'll what?

What a raging pile of Totalitarian Orwellian doublespeak - demonstrating you don't have the faintest idea what freedom of speech is .. and in fact have it completely backwards.

Belief in freedom of speech is not belief in freedom - "only for speech you agree with" .. everyone believes in that. Freedom of speech is belief in freedom for speech you disagree with. If you don't believe in freedom for speech you disagree with - and you clearly don't - you don't believe in freedom of speech.

Twitter is a private company (do you know what that means?) and it is free to allow or not the use of its platform to whoever it wants.

The MAGA who aren't happy just have to go spread their stupidities on the social networks that accept them.

Twitter is a public company. Musk is wanting to make it a private company.

    Review your definitions.

Twitter doesn't belong to all Americans but to its shareholders.

Musk wants to turn it into a privately held company, i.e. take it off the stock market.

So what if Twitter is private -- what does that have to do with the fact that you hate freedom of speech ? What a nonsensical effor in deflection and denial. Just because Twitter hates freedom of speech - doesn't mean you have to.

Then you double down on your hatred of freedom of speech.. upset aboutTrump being able to engate in freedom of speech - happy with organizations trying to prevent freedom of speech.
