If that's what they want, then why is this reported only in FOX, and other RW MSM with headlines worded to sound like its something new and something people should be outraged about?

Be real... if Krappernick was any good, he'd be playing ball today! The team owners go along with a lot of this crap to avoid bad feelings in "the dressing room" -- but they don't tolerate sub-standard performance for long, no matter how politically correct it may be.

Let’s try this experiment: go ask some slaves or some dead Native Americans and ask them if they had it better than someone else, then come back and tell me this same thing with a straight face.

Your head is hard as a ****ing rock, but I’ll say this again since your ass is too lazy to Google: this song has existed for 100+ years.

Imagine how much better your posts would be if you took the same effort you did to look up “Groupthink” and did that for anything else related to this subject.

But it doesn’t matter what you think and it’s not about what you want, and if you can’t be bothered to read the history of the song that’s been around for well over a century then that’s no one’s problem but yours.

Life’s gonna keep happening and the world moves on whether they play the song or not so just get over it.

Premiered in 1900, "Lift Every Voice and Sing" was communally sung within Black American communities, while the NAACP began to promote the hymn as a "Negro national anthem" in 1917 (with the term "Black national anthem" similarly used in the present day). It has been featured in 42 different Christian hymnals, and it has also been performed by various African American singers and musicians. Its prominence has increased since 2020 following the George Floyd protests; in 2021, then House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn sponsored a bill proposing that "Lift Every Voice and Sing" be designated as the "national hymn" of the United States.

The song has almost always been referred to as the “black (or originally Negro) national anthem,” this ain’t a new thing and I’ve said this multiple times. How do you suck this much at reading and retaining very basic information?

Football is America's national past time. I think most people simply tolerate it. It doesn't rank that high of an issue, certainly not higher than their love for their team. I would also gather many people don't even know it's played if they don't attend the game in person.

Locker room cancers have a hard time sticking around. Kaepernick was such a cancer, had a losing record as a QB, and people only know of him today because of his disrespect for our country and cops.

Since all the slaves when slavery existed are long dead and gone, and naturally the 53+ million NA are dead, going to be pretty hard to ask either one huh?

Notice you couldn't actually address anything in there that I said with an actual argument. All you did was attack.

I have. Have you actually heard anyone on the right say it?

They're playing it to bring attention to a supposed inequality of Rights. They started playing it in response to George Floyd and BLM demanding that they be treated equally. Yes or no? Also you do realize that you're contradicting yourself from your earlier arguments....right? Why push the back story to the song so much and claim that the only ones against it are racists otherwise?

And yes, equal opportunities do exist. There is nothing that I can do, that a black person cannot.

And if there's no current circumstances....what else is there? Are you going to ignore everything we have now?

Leftist Identitarians. The ones who see race in everything.

Not as a type of national anthem there isn't.

And yes, prior to this woke idiocy no one thought of the Black National Anthem.

What's the point? That we can't make our own assessment because we can't ask dead people questions? Foolishness.

It’s been addressed multiple times by me and others in this thread and the one from last year. These are not difficult concepts to understand but you and quite a few others are terrible at understanding basic things.

The point is since a lot of those people from all groups were killed en masse or died due to very poor conditions, the notion that some folks had it “better” in some ways back then is bullshit.

You really haven't addressed anything. All that you've done is talk about injustices, what the songs were made for in the past, blah blah blah. Nothing that addresses WHY this song being played as a "Black National Anthem" (something only representing ONE group out of the hundreds of different groups in the US) as if its equal to OUR national anthem is not divisive. Nothing that addresses why its needed, with evidence.

In short, all you've done is regurgitate talking points.
