I said *I* would snatch her up. The Constitution is for the Government and I said nothing about the Government snatching her up. I don't have to respect anyone's opinion if I don't want to.

Can your posts get any more ludicrous? People demonstrate against an obviously dysfunctional status quo-you know, actually get up off their arse and do something-and suddenly they're communists?

'Unnatural hair colors'. Hmm, that's pretty sinister-I guess they're probably commies too-with a sprinkling of anarchists. They don't wash much either-but I expect you knew that...

    (Edited for sarcasm)

Probably because this isn't about Obama. He is a transitory irrelevance as far as global corporatism is concerned.

Indeed. This movement transcends party-political partisanship.

Do you check out the link about Goldman Sachs? Aren't they the predators? They work in collusion with the Washington politicians to defraud the public.

Can't left and right agree that this kind of corporate welfare is the problem:
Barack Obama: King Of Corporate Welfare

I agree, the Tea Partiers should join in. What if right populists and left populists cooperated? That would really make the elites tremble.

Libertarians and conservatives already involved in the Wall Street protest. Ron Paul is on board, how about you?

I'd take that camera, her I-POD, her smart phone, her xbox, her stereo, her bike, and all the corporate produced technology she takes for granted. Oh and that freaky hair color too and her $100 Nikes too. And her driver's license. All privileges suspended indefinitely. And the allowance.

    Get my drift???

If she wants anarchy and authoritarian govt to rule over business, I'd take all her business provided amenities away and let her find out first hand what it's like to live in a dictatorship.

I don't understand your extreme anger directed at this young girl. She opposes rich people who expect handouts from the government. Is that so bad? America was founded by men who protested against a corrupt unresponsive elite.

You are projecting quite a lot onto this girl. You don't know if she is an anarchist and you certainly don't know if she wants an authoritarian government.

Way to strawman. My point is that most of these people have ZERO experience with the real world. NO ONE in the real world expects to be able to wear multiple piercings, purple or pink hair, and be employable. The point is that these kids are just that nieve CHILDREN trying to pretend that their uniformed opinion is a "movement" of the "people". The rest of us laugh at them because they have no idea how the real world works. In 5 years or so, after she graduates and realizes that businesses are the ones that pay her salary (provided she can even get a job -- my bet is that she studies something like women's or ethnic history or perhaps literature or philosophy -- in short she wastes tens of thousands of dollars of daddy's money to study things with no possible connection to a future job) she'll figure out real quick that businesses make America run.

It's not perfect, I get that. I don't think a free pass is a perfect answer, but I do know that the wrong answer is a government takeover of the banks. Perhaps if they still taught real history, the kids would know that.

    Some signs from the protest:

This guy seems like some kind of Christian socialist who has given up on Obama:

All sorts at the protest. Ron Paul supports them.

I don't know why anyone would support corporate welfare and huge bonuses for bank executives (both paid for by the taxpayer) instead of hard-working real Americans.

You do realize...of course...that the main reason Canada didn't have the pleasure of your pleasant little economic crumble, is that the banks are chartered by the government and strictly regulated. Right?

    I.E. NO DERIVATIVES.

What the white kids who are protesting don't realize is that they can't restore the past world of affluence. Their futures were mortgaged to pay for past and present consumption. No matter what they do they can't turn back time. They should accept their karma.
