Based on the photos I've seen, people of color are there. They're the cops arresting whitey. Sometimes I love the 21st Century!
I don't think there's any rage being directed at the raging "activists" occupying Camp ANSWERnik, Cat. Heaps of laughter and ridicule, certainly, but not rage. Then spit on the politicians responsible for that failure, right?
Where is Jason Bourne? He will have a whole lot to say about this sexual abuse, gang rape and molestation, of a blond woman in a crowd of protesters in broad daylight while thousands of men just stood and watched and didn't try to tackle the cops to the ground and have them arrested and will go on about it for months till the cops are hung in Times Square by the neck. Get your earplugs in everyone because when Jason Bourne (Medecins Sans Frontiers very own Rambo) sees this he is going to be in every thread asking if those cops have been arrested and jailed yet and if not why not?
Dear good woman, you are brushing them with a wide stroke. Some of them are against Obama too. To write them all off for a few crazies is not right. I am not there, witnessing everything. Maybe with time they will improve. If the tea partiers are not there, they should be.
Speak for yourself Talon. You're all giggly with it, good for you! That's what the protestors were doing, spitting on the politicans. Even though you refuse to see it that way. Done
The Chinese laugh at these people because the Chinese understand the meaning of suffering and endurance. There is no one to help. Adapt or endure.
... No, they laugh at America for being unwilling -- despite it's enormous wealth -- to invest in her people.
The Chinese abandoned the Iron Rice Bowl. Everyone over there is pretty much on their own. They don't have much of a social safety net. That's why interior China is still dirt poor while the coastal provinces do much better. The white kids in America who are protesting were deceived in large part by the kingdom of lies that America has become. They were told they could borrow big money in student loans, get a bachelors degree, and survive. Now these kids have to compete with illegal aliens from Mexico and Central America who can outwork them because they are inured to hardship. These kids are screwed. Their lifetime earnings are going to be insufficient to let them buy homes or to get a quality education for their kids if they are unwise enough to have kids. You call giving money to these kids an investment? It's simply a subsidy so that they aren't on the street. They need to learn how to live at a much lower standard of living. They were lied to. But I didn't lie to them.
Not exactly the kind of exact answer I had hoped for. Well, I suppose some businessplan with numbers in it would have been asked too much. However, I hate to desillusion you, but US-corporations tend to donate money to both democrats and republicans. It must have to do with spreading the risk: whichever candidate wins owes them and will know better than biting the hand that feeds him. Here's just one short example: http://www.dailyfinance.com/2010/10...porate-campaign-contributors-in-u-s-politics/ The TEA-Party is no different, however much they like to pretend to be a grass-roots-movement. Do you seriously think Bachmann has any interest in closing tax-loopholes for her old cronies in Koch industries? Dream on. If you want loopholes closed and cronyism ended I suggest you paint yourself a banner asking to introduce laws that forbid politicians to take corporate donations and private donations of more than 100 dollars per year. Then carry it out on the street and join your local protests.
Wow, I didn't know that in the USA you have to have a certain hair-colour, put on your funeral-attire and have won at least one beauty contest before you're allowed to carry out your democratic right to demonstrate. I had slight suspicions though that in the USA education is under such low esteem that "College professor" can be used as a derogatory description. No wonder the nation is going downhill.
Look like an MBA was the way to go instead of MFA,no? I'm failing to see how it's the banks or govts fault for the majority of these complaints. Get an MFA and cant keep a teaching job? Gets cancer cant pay student loan? Sounds like life. My wife has MS , we've just had a baby. She's been out of work. Things r tough. Know what we do? Make a plan of attack and keep on it. We don't give up and start complaining. We work harder, we make changes. We minimize external influences on our home. Still wondering why all these folks who undeniably voted for Obama are not more irate at being suckered by the democrats. Hes more than just an empty suit, he's a key enabled of the people they're protesting.
You can have a non-violent revolution. You can have even have a conservative revolution. Edmund Burke saw the American Revolution as a conservative revolution. He is just one of the organizers. He can't dictate to anybody. You can be a libertarian or some other kind of conservative and oppose crony capitalism. Aren't you disgusted by Obama's lavish corporate welfare? It would be a big mistake for conservatives to ignore the anger against the big banks. Liberals could ride that anger all the way to the White House despite the fact that Wall Street supported Obama with millions of $$$$$$!
I'm not the only one laughing, Cat. Some of us have been out in the streets having fun with ANSWERniks for years - you can't buy this kind of entertainment. Here's some of the humor coming from the other side of the barricades: *** If they want to spit on politicians, someone needs to help them out with their poor sense of direction, Cat - the Capitol is 225 miles south of Camp ANSWERnik. Obviously, this is about much more than spitting on politicians...
Did you see the 99% stuff provided a few pages back by our dear Janpor??? LOOK: IMO, The Anonymous Group is involved in this.
