I'm not angry. I saw some of these people being interviewed. One said he didn't know why he was there. Another said she wouldn't accept a job offer from anyone. Still another said "we would all prosper if the rich would share" The sense I get from these people is they just WANT to be given stuff and/or they are clueless of the real world. Ya got a buncha dummies mixed in with the hard left, both organized and unorganized. The naivete of youth and the manipulation of those who have a Marxist or anarchist agenda. It's so much more than a simple protest. Oh and you also have the stupid hippie types who wanna live the hippie life. It's all just nuts. This is what the wallstreet group said they wanted: All peoples debt to be gone All world government debt to be gone 1 trillion dollars for infrastructure 1 trillion dollars to plant trees Free college education Guaranteed living wage income regardless of employment, so if you're unemployed you should still be making $20/hour Fast track the process of bringing down the fossil fuel economy Racial and gender equal rights amendment Open borders, so the U.S. will no longer be its on country Bring American elections up to the international standards of a paper ballot Outlaw all credit reporting agencies C'mon.....really???
An 80-yr old woman, despondent over the recent loss of her husband of 50 years, goes to her doctor and asks him the best way to commit suicide. He tells her that though he can not ethically advise her, he can certainly tell her about physiology and concludes that a bullet to the heart would most likely result in termination. She perked up, "Oh, and where exactly is my heart?" "Well, it's directly under your left breast" the doctor clinically replied. A week later, the woman was admitted to the ER with a bullet wound... ... to her LEFT KNEE!
Sure some of the protesters are kind of silly. You'll fnd people like that everywhere. Remember the media will try to portray all the protesters in a negative light. Don't be fooled. Don't you oppose corporate welfare? That's a central grievance for the protesters. I don't think totalitarian Marxist bastards have any support among the American people. Oddly you'll find that most Marxists can be found in the 1% (and their progeny) that are being criticized by the protesters.
1AmericansView told me....I'll ask him. Hang on. I couldn't reach him instantly, so I looked it up: Haven't even looked through it yet. I took 1A's word for it. His word is good in my book....if he's off, honey, I'll bet it ain't by much. UPDATE: Looks to me like 1A was spot on.
The ANSWERniks are protesting against themselves now? Wow, they really ARE all over the place this time...
Exactly - what's NOT to like? Anyone embracing Goldman Sachs here or Wall Street and poo pooing these protestors are embracing the enemy. Come on! The tea partiers should also be out here in force!
That's true in any kind of protest, there is always the crazy fringe. I certainly oppose corporate welfare, anyone else? Unless of course you're one of 'em, the entitled corporate pigs. That's where the entitlements have been going. The bottom 10% and the top 10%, while the middle class gets screwed.
Aw guys, leave her alone, she has a cute smile! She's exercising her freedom of expression in America. Weren't there an awful lot of war protestors in the 60's protesting the Vietnam war? Quite of few of them were college kids. I think a lot of them were spit on too.
Maybe not Talon, but the rage is misdirected, if it is being directed at these people, kids, whatever you want to call them. Not that you have any, rage that is. The Vietnam war was a failure.
How the hell do you know anything at all about 'these people'? You don't. You know zip, zero. All I read in your post is assumption and judgement by appearances. I guess the guys who wear the Brooks Brothers suits on Wall Street are absolutely acceptable to you because they have neat haircuts and shiny shoes-it doesn't matter that they defrauded millions of dollars, caused a financial (*)(*)(*)(*)storm and screwed your country just as long as they have a nice crease in their pants, right? This old deadbeat hippy is worth over $15 million and worked hard for it. You'd spit on him if you saw him in the street. Soap and water, right? http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=wi...t=10&ndsp=11&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:10&tx=126&ty=64
I think both right and left can agree that the Wall Streeters are personae non grata. They're clearly part of the problem. But the white kids protesting are still in deep poop because their futures have been mortgaged. There's no way around that other than default.
From the article: Indeed. This was not what Ron Paul said he would support. The article title is misleading. Leaderless my foot !!! See above...who is Harrison Shultz? I call bull(*)(*)(*)(*). And as far as libertarians, specifically, it would have to be "socialist libertarians" that I've heard of who are NOT libertarians. It's a non sequitur and completely laughable. Tea Partiers? Don't get your hopes up. LOL, all of a sudden, they're not tea-baggers anymore? ROFL Liberals are such hypocrites !!!
Actually, it's the protesters' rage that is misdirected. They have no plan to make things better. Just looking for somebody other than Obama to blame for our bad economy. It's an exercise in futility.
Ok, explain to us what Obama's role was in the global financial disaster which Wall Street is now allowing us to enjoy. Is he CEO of a major financial institution, an economist, a trader...?
