it's also fascism for 50.1 percent to try to strip away the rights of the other 49.9 percent.

LOL... what right will be stripped away in the abortion amendment in November??

50.1% is majority rules... I would hope no 50.1% would strip away anybody's rights, but that IS a MAGA thing these days..

And 50.1% doing it is still (microscopically) better than 49.9% doing it...

I think abortion rights =to some extent-will remain in Ohio. Abortion rights activists often want to get rid of second amendment rights-which is amusing

If the Founding Fathers had wanted abortion to be illegal, they would have said so. Abortion was legal for over 100 years in this country until
religious freaks tried to outlaw it. That lasted until it was realized by the Supreme Court that it was a law that only applied to the poor - the middle
class and rich simply took a vacation outside the country. And we see that happening again with the recent abortion bans.

the real point is that such an issue was something for the states to decide-not the federal government.

If only that was true - yet the largest anti-abortion group in the country (Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life American Group) is calling for a National Ban.
So your "real point" isn't really the "real point".

Many pro-choice advocates want common sense gun control... .which has nothing to do with the obsolete 2nd Amendment...

Their "pro life" concern ends at birth. They only care about the unborn. These are the same conservatives who perpetually try to defend every social program that might help.

My money is on every anti abortion voter, should their 10 yr get raped and then pregnant, 90+% would have an abortion for their child. !!!!

It’s a non question. We already do all the things you are asking. It’s feigned ignorance.

the federal government doesn't have the proper power to ban abortion.. And you seem unable to understand that what an anti abortion group calls for is not the same as what the federalist system intended. It is a state issue no matter what the Susan B Anthony clowns want. And I find it hypocritical for abortion banning groups to now want a federal law when they complained for years-rightly so-about Roe v Wade making it a federal issue

It can also be life saving - doctors have often had to terminate one of a set of triplets so that the other two can survive. In the case of an
Ectopic Pregnancy, terminating the fetus is just part of saving the mother's life, instead of ending both the mother's life and the child's.

One of the worst things I ever witnessed documenting a crime scene was the suicide of a young teen who ended her life
rather than have to carry her rapist's baby (family member) to term. Is what it is. Don't like it, tough ****, not your body, not your decision.

It is idiotic to oppose abortion in the case of rape. Period. But I can turn that around and say all the pro "rights" activists who want to ban guns, would want a gun if they were trapped in a room with a crazed killer

    No, we don't.

Number one reason given by women for having an abortion? Financial stress. End of story.

many gun rights activists want common sense limitations on abortion. And unlike abortion, we actually have a constitutional enumerated right. The second amendment isn't obsolete just because the woke left hates the culture that values the right of self defense and independence

Do you think people who are stressed by the thought of raising children ought to maybe make a bit more effort to not get pregnant? Most of us adults are able to do that.

Is what it is. Contraception fails in 2 - 3% of usage - given the tens of millions of times sex happens every day, that 3% translates to thousands of
pregnancies. Asking people not to have sex has NEVER worked, it's basic to the human condition. And it's not just single people
having abortions - many married couples have used abortion when it a problematic pregnancy. Women who have had difficult pregnancies in
the past because of health conditions don't want to leave their other kids with no mother. Your bull crap high horse stand takes no account
of real world situations or complications.

Indeed. One does not hear them trying to help the many homeless and other disadvantaged (handicapped) or even those given the death penalty.
Religion is the basis of such beliefs and being outdated, does not apply to many current societal issues. Something that is ignored completely is that his wonderful planet has limited resources for an ever increasing population.
If folks don't want to have an abortion. .fine. Don't. BUT one has no right to impose their beliefs that are so personal. .on others. AN abortion is a private matter between a lady , her medical advisor and those she deems as "significant others" Neither politics or religion belong in a lady's womb.
Science and biology and realistic health oriented decisions are called for.
(and where are the pro lifers when shooting sprees happen killing kids etc?? Where are the pro lifers when threats to asassiante leaders are exposed . and happen far too often in this very young nation.

Murder is not justified just because you don’t want the baby

when someone has multiple abortions I can certainly castigate that sort of irresponsibility. And I have never said abortion should be banned. But I do note that when the pro abortion advocates say abortion should be safe legal and rare-perhaps the rare part needs more attention. and I do have a jaundiced view that the life of the fetus has no value to so many "abortion is the sacred rite" crowd.

…which shows they are NOT “pro life”. They are “anti-abortion”. Their “pro-life” claim is a smoke screen,…. a cover, …. a cover to hide their shameful truth.

Let us NEVER call them “pro-life” again. Let’s tell the truth. They are anti-abortion.
