Only in your mind, not in the legal documents.

So now you're moving the goalposts to "responsibilities"??? Heh...cute.
Anyway, glad you agree gay couples have not received special rights.

If public benefits awarded for private activity it is a special right.
There is nothing ambiguous about that. I am not sure why you are confused.

That's still a claim of regulation with no explanation of what those regulations are or how they are different between homosexual and heterosexual activity, nor what that activity has to do with legal marriage.

Really? What regulations are there on dating? One night stands? Friends with benefits?

Only in some states, not all. However, that is still not a regulation on the man and woman's relationship. Nor does it account for the fact that outside of marriage the man still holds legal accountability for his offspring.

And yet you still have not detailed what is different between the two.

No more special than the benefits heteros get through marriage. Glad you agree no one is getting special rights over another regarding marriage.

How so? How is the responsibility of a childless opposite sex couple different from a childless same sex couple? How is the responsibility different between an opposite sex couple where one brings a child to the marriage from a same sex couple where one brings a child to the marriage?

What are these "extra" benefits gay couples get that hetero couples don't get regarding marriage?

Assert to straight men men or straight women could potentially marry each other and it's not based on whether or not they're homosexual?

So you were just being hyperbolic when you said that homosexuals have special rights?

The extra benefits is to get paid with public resources for the "sexual" activity that is strictly private.

If you want to claim equality then eliminate any reference to gender and completely remove legal responsibility for the consequences of sexual activity between man and woman.
Otherwise so called homosexual rights are the special rights.

Marriage is a form of regulation for heterosexual couples, e.g. man is presumed to be a father (without any kind of genetic testing) if child is born while he is married.
So, yes, in the sense they are get paid because government imposes extra responsibility on them.
Like I said, you want to claim equality then normalize the law and treat homo and hetero couple the same way.

So then you agree gay couples aren't getting any extra benefits. They get the same benefits as hetero couples. Thanks.

Yes, they get special rights, what is you point?
I guess we are in agreement.
Gay couple get public benefits for strictly private activity.
That is an exact definition of special rights (i.e. essentially political corruption).
It is like paying private individual out of public resources for political favor.

Nope. They get the same rights/benefits as hetero couples. Gay couples do not receive any benefits that hetero couples don't receive. Hence why your claim gay couples get special rights/benefits is bogus.

    Benefits are not rights.
    Rights are different.
Gays have "special right" to get public benefits for private activity.
There is no ambiguity about that.
Public benefits should be paid ONLY for the activity that has an effect on all people.
