Based on the biblical account, the stables were first dated to the reign of Solomon, but new evidence has established their date as early 9th century BCE, in the reign of King Ahab. The southern stable complex is divided into several compartments, each subdivided into three long, parallel halls: the outer halls for stalls, the corridors between them for use by the stable hands. The ceiling of the stables was supported by large, square stone pillars. Massive stone troughs stood in the stables, as well as perforated stones for tying the horses. In the middle of a large courtyard, surrounded by a stone wall, was a watering pool. It is estimated that Megiddo's stables could have accommodated 450 horses; the adjacent structures undoubtedly housed dozens of battle chariots - an impressive quantity in terms of the period.

No way did Solomon have all the equipment recorded in Kings and Chronicles. The largest battle involving just 4-6000 chariots took place at Kadesh. This was between Egypt and the Hittites, and this was between 2 nations heavily reliant on chariots, and extremely competent in chariot warfare.
Until Absalom, David's son, chariots were not used in Israel. To build up such a force recorded in a fairly short time, and for a fairly small kingdom, is improbable.

Fine words but meaningless. I have confirmed some of the statements I have made about events recorded in the Bible by referring you to authenticated records on ancient artifacts which record the same events, which you refuse to accept, or have ignored. The fact you don't care to make the effort to research is up to you.

Provide a link to a Bible quote saying there was cannibalism before the Flood.....or else you are trying a "fake and distorted attempt to present a different bible"

    Exactly.

"Now go and attack Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have; do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’--1 Samuel 15:3 NRSCVE

Because Mitt doesn't have an answer to a paradox.

    - - - Updated - - -

Why would a chariot need a "stall"....afraid it would drive itself off?

    :D

Faith trevor, faith. IMHO, a need to do research shows the presence of skepticism and skepticism is not a trait of FAITH.

Probably for similar reasons that some people find a need for a garage. Protect it from the weather, vandals, and thieves.

He did??? He did provided a link that cannibalism never existed and its' a joke? I must have missed it so where is it??? There you go another attempt to distort and contradict not only yourself but others of your them friend you are lucky that they tolerate your distortion of their claims and they allow you to speak for them.

So where is your link that cannibalism is a none existence? I am still waiting don't try to lie your wait out of this because there is no way you can.
There is no Biblical verse that actually mention about cannibalism there is however the imply and clear message that such practice existed and modern science concurred with that Genesis 6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. I know you will deny it because as always you are against truth you have clearly display yourself that cannibalism never existed your only position is God killed innocent people and God does not kill innocent people = self contradiction this is what happen to people who are against truth.

Should modern Christians in modern times have more problems with modern human sexuality than with a timeless, abomination of hypocrisy in these same modern times?

How often is it preached by any religious.

Even Jesus the Christ overcame his problem with human sexuality. Shouldn't true disciples of His teachings, do the same.

Read the whole Genesis 6 as to how humanity became evil.

And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually

Wrong I only respond to your claims and tough questions and part of your claim is that God killed innocent babies and the question what happened to innocent babies in Noah's flood? This question was actually your them friends but you jump into it as well. My respond to you and them is that God did not killed any innocent babies in Genesis 6. And in other Gospel such as the Amalekite and King Sihon to you I respond that they are unlike any other tribes they are as evil and wicked as those of Genesis 6 they are chosen people of Satan. I justify no killings of innocent babies actually you are the one that is justifying why not punish the evil and wicked people.

Of course you are confused because you can't accept God to be on the side of good but you have no problem understanding Satan so why have problem understanding God?

What are you talking about? I gave a thorough, logical answer. Let me put up the question again posed by Rickity Plumber and the answer I gave. As one will see it's a thorough, logical answer. Why do you always have to be so deceiving and dishonest in a lot of your posts? You should know you can't get away with it...lol

Good job scientists, particularly Medical science, doesn't take the same approach or we would have a very sick world. Therefore, IMHO, your faith prevents you from learning. That leads to narrowmindedness. That is fairly obvious on here.

Fundamentalists and Islamist are in the same bracket. Frightened to question their beliefs in case they learn something different from that they have been told to believe.

Yeppir... that faith impaired my ability to obtain a degree in the Computer sciences. Very good trevorw... you might want to go see an optometrist if you believe that what you claim is "fairly obvious".

I'm 65 and the greater part of my life was spent questioning my beliefs. Unfortunately for you and some of the others, my beliefs have finally won the battle and as evidenced on this forum, no-one has provided any evidence or argument that compels my mind to accept those arguments or evidence as true. So, if there is any fear to be witnessed, it is the fear that you have toward God and the promises made in the 'Bible' regarding eternity.

So you offer a quote from one who appears to be either Atheist or Agnostic and expect any sort of credibility to be attached to it from a Christian. LOL. That is the laugh of the day.

No, they were not eyewitnesses to a ghost, Jesus resurrection was bodily and not spiritual.

Being a critic of the Bible you should at least open up a Bible and start reading for yourself, who knows maybe it will enlighten you but of course if you're always going to be in denial then what can anyone say to you?

The first few disciples are found as we read the passage of Matthew 4:18-22. It reads:

"One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers—Simon, also called Peter, and Andrew—throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living. Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!” And they left their nets at once and followed him.

A little farther up the shore he saw two other brothers, James and John, sitting in a boat with their father, Zebedee, repairing their nets. And he called them to come, too. They immediately followed him, leaving the boat and their father behind."---Matthew 4:18-22 NLT

No...ALL you did was ...attack the question. Calling it "incoherent, inconsistent, self-contradictory, meaningless, contradictory, inconsistant", etc.

You in NO WAY addressed the Paradox of Omnipotence. In fact, at the end you contradicted yourself.

You claim it is an "impossible condition that can never be met"....only to claim again God is "omnipotent"...which by ITS VERY DEFINITION means God should be able to overcome "impossible conditions". For an "omnipotent God"....there would BE no "impossible" conditions, would there? In fact, doesn't the Bible say "For God, nothing is impossible"

The problem is the "a rock so heavy" paradox contradicts that Absolute. For it establishes a situation where two competing "omnipotent powers" (infinite weight vs. infinite strength) cancel each other out but in doing so cancel out the idea of True Omnipotence.

The only argument to be made would be that God is "99% omnipotent" or even "95% omnipotent", leaving open the door for Him to be UNABLE to do certain things......for instance?

    Could God destroy Himself?

Not sure what you're trying to prove with facts and dates. This is a religious and philosophy forum. Has nothing to do with history.

All you have done is avoid answering the question as usual.

    1) Are all babies evil according to the Bible. Yes or no ?

From the passage you posted it looks like you are agreeing that all Babies are evil.

Again let me repeat, are you trying to argue that the Gospels claim to be written as "eyewitness testimony" have to written from the 1st person? Where is it the law that any "eyewitness testimony" must be written from the 1st person?...lol

The four Gospels are written as in the form of historical narrative documenting the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ so it would only be fitting that they were written from the 3rd person perspective.

One should be more skeptical about a text claiming to be historical record and being written in the 1st person. Just think about history in general…..the only documents that I can think of written in the 1st person would be autobiographies.

Did Christ have to write a story about His own life? Of course not. Nearly all historical works follow a "reporting" style and would thus use 3rd person narrative.

More importantly, the purpose of the Gospels is not for the writers to talk about their lives, but the life of Jesus Christ. Writing from 3rd person places even more emphasis on this goal as opposed to the writers (unnecessarily) talking about themselves.

We see that Luke begins his Gospel in the 1st person clearly stating the purpose of the work in Luke 1:1-4.
Luke essentially says that he is writing a history book chronicling the life of Christ. Though not explicitly indicated by the other 3 Gospel writers, this same historical narrative style can be seen in the other 3 accounts.

Their claim isn’t that "hey, we saw this stuff happen" (even if the writers were firsthand witnesses), but more formally documenting history events.

They each had their own perspective and unique style in that they focus and write about some different things, mainly to appeal to the audience they are trying to reach….Matthew to the Jews, Luke to the Gentiles etc…

So in conclusion, I see no problem with first-hand witnessess not writing their Gospels in the 1st person perspective.

You atheists (non-believers) try so hard to discredit the Holy Bible but to no avail...sorry but you just can't discredit the truth!
