How dangerous is that. You think you have all the answers so you stop searching and learning. That would sound like a ticket to eternal damnation when one thinks they can believe no wrong.

Very good dairyair. Then how does one go about obtaining a correct interpretation?

So....you are JUST LIKE God? It is impossible for either of you to be wrong?

They can't. At least not be 100% certain.
To me, that means something is wrong with the message that was suppose to be conveyed to mankind. Or the message is made up.

In other words, you are saying that there has to be something said or done that will compel the mind to believe that which was said or done to be true? Without that compelling influence, you would class that thing done or said as being made-up?

    How do you know that?

Didn't you notice all the similarities with the Jesus story?
This does tell you that the Jesus story is simply a copy of the older stories, doesn't it? How do you explain that?

    Such as Krishna and Jesus:
Both were born of a Virgin.
Yeshua and Krishna were called both a God and the Son of God.
Both was sent from heaven to earth in the form of a man.
Both were called Savior, and the second person of the Trinity.
His adoptive human father was a carpenter.
A spirit or ghost was their actual father.
Krishna and Jesus were of royal descent.
Both were visited at birth by wise men and shepherds, guided by a star.
Angels in both cases issued a warning that the local dictator planned to kill the baby and had issued a decree for his assassination. The parents fled. Mary and Joseph stayed in Muturea; Krishna's parents stayed in Mathura.
Both Yeshua and Krishna withdrew to the wilderness as adults, and fasted.
Both were identified as "the seed of the woman bruising the serpent's head."
Jesus was called "the lion of the tribe of Judah." Krishna was called "the lion of the tribe of Saki."
Both claimed: "I am the Resurrection."
Both referred to themselves having existed before their birth on earth.
    Both were "without sin."
Both were god-men: being considered both human and divine.
They were both considered omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent.
Both performed many miracles, including the healing of disease. One of the first miracles that both performed was to make a leper whole. Each cured "all manner of diseases."
Both cast out indwelling demons, and raised the dead.
Both selected disciples to spread his teachings.
Both were meek, and merciful. Both were criticized for associating with sinners.
Both encountered a Gentile woman at a well.
Both celebrated a last supper. Both forgave his enemies.
Both descended into Hell, and were resurrected. Many people witnessed their ascensions into heaven.

You can't. Look at WanRen's claim that the pre-Flood "wicked people" were "cannibals eating their children, so therefore God didn't drown any children in Noah's Flood". (as part of an attempt at apologia for God killing children)

There is no evidence of that whatsoever in "Genesis"....yet he believes it to be the "correct interpretation".

Bad example on your part. Though I have caught the tail end of that argument, no-one has shown me a link to the post where he (WanRen) allegedly made such a claim, and I did make inquiry on this forum about such a claim... no-one wants to show that link.

I dread to think. Still it makes a different from seeking 'proof' with fancy words, while ignoring proof offered.

Search for it if you're interested. Usually you just troll so we won't waste our time.
Or flat out ask him why God killed innocent children at noah's flood.

Not at all. WarRen did make that accusation and we 'debated' it for some time. Somewhere in Part 14 or 15. But then WarRen regularly makes statements which he alters or repudiates when challenged.

    1. Ask him yourself. He'll confirm that is his "theory" on how God could have Flooded the world and NOT killed any children.

    2. It's as good an example as any. Slavery supporters used to use the "curse of Ham" to excuse keeping Africans as slaves, claiming it was what the Bible said "God put upon Ham, to be servants unto his other brothers"

Pure interpretation....based on subjective opinion. Same exact material....they were using the same Bible in 1850 we have today.

Well, I am of the opinion that he might not have made such a claim and that is the reason no-one wants to point to that specific posting. Try again and quit playing the avoidance game.

Somewhere in Part 14 or 15? That is a lot of postings to search out. You seemingly don't know where.

Once again, it seems that the anti-WanRen regime cannot show proof of their claims regarding a comment allegedly made by WanRen.

You stating "its an illusion" is just abject denial of all the evidence to the contrary.

Did you even look at the example given you in the link ?

So we have 3 different manuscripts to choose from. LXX and Qumran texts are older than the MT but that does not necessarily make them better.

In two of the texts we have a reference to the Sons of God. The LXX was known to have been used by early Christians.

In the later MT we have references to these "Sons of God" absent.

Which version is correct ? We do not know. Which version is in the modern Bible ?

    http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Deuteronomy+32

Notice that "todays" version not only chooses to omit the Sons of God passage (surprise surprise), but adds something new that does not exist in any of the older texts

There is no "you must praise the Lords people" all three texts say "Rejoice with him" = Rejoice with God. The reason it says "rejoice with God" is because of the next line which tells us who is rejoicing with God... "His divine Sons"

The MT seems to have omitted "this divine Sons". The modern Bible does not even adhere to the MT. Why does the modern Bible distort even what the MT says ? never-mind using the older texts.

There is no "forgive the sins of his people" in any of the extant original texts. all three texts say "Cleanse his peoples land."

The only illusion here is that the Bible has not been changed over time and that what we have today somehow represents something unaltered.

I will post the link again as clearly you did not read it. http://www.thedivinecouncil.com/DT32BibSac.pdf

Incor....before you call us all liars....maybe FIRST....you should wait and ask WanRen on his "cannibalism before the Flood" theory....so that you don't look foolish when he says "Yes...that is true what they said. I did say that."...

and you look rather foolish. Just some friendly advice.

What are the reasons why you feel evangelicals garner so little respect from the rest of Christianity? Basically an evangelical person is dedicated to promoting the good news about Jesus Christ and so why would they deserve so little respect from the rest of Christianity?

Present the words of Jesus in Matt/Mark that you feel contradicts the words of Jesus in John. You might think there are contradictions but the truth is there are no contradictions but please go ahead and present them.

I can tell you that the Gospels do differ slightly in theme but the central Subject is the same. They all present Jesus as the One who died to save sinners and they all record His resurrection.

But again present those words of Jesus in Matt/Mark that you feel contradicts the words of Jesus in John.

I posted a complete verse not just one verse as you did and we Christians understood that God did not created evil.

If I am lying which I am not is to respond to your lies.
All you did was post a verse which does not relay the whole story try posting the complete Gospel so that you will understand that God did not created evil and if you still not satisfied read Genesis 1 and tell me where does it say God created evil?

You have not yet done with post 12 you already want post # 93? Oh no don't construed that I am avoiding post 93 we'll get there once we are done with post # 12 unless you wish to jump to post 93? If you do please don't claim I did not answer your questions it is you that refused to accept our answers.

BTW, I will again remind people that earlier today WR declared that LIKE GOD....he CANNOT ever be wrong.

So just a heads up that arguing with him is like arguing with God...and vice-versa.

    That is all.

What are those reasons in your opinion?

But I do understand, it just that I don't agree with them. My position has always been that the Bible is the infallible Word of God and so it has no errors/contradictions.

And salvation is given to us by the grace of God for having faith in His one and only begotten Son Jesus Christ our Lord Savior who died for us shedding His innocent blood when He was crucified on the cross some 2,000 years ago!

Lastly I have never expressed to anyone that I'm pretending to speak for God and so why would you make such a statement?
