That's extremely bizarre considering they are a Christian organization. But it looks like they came to their conclusion based on the fact that they want to reduce maternal mortality rates via unsafe and illegal abortions. Seems like even some of those who may be pro-life realize that this world has a necessity for safe, legal abortions to protect women.

But yeah, you still have the choice not to donate like you said. Nobody is forcing you too. You could even start your own organization similar to the Red Cross that coincides 100% with your beliefs if you wanted to.

Glad they support safe abortions. I assume 'lifenews' would prefer women have backyard abortions.

There are many churches and Christian organizations that support choice. The Reverend Dr. Katherine Hancock Ragsdale tells why:

They cannot be a Christian organization and take this stance. There is ABSOLUTELY NO NEED for at will legal abortions in this world. Efforts should be concentrated around preventing pregnancies that are unwanted, instead of excusing homicides after the fact.

Maybe they used to prefer that women not become killers. Their changing that view is extremely dissapointing!!!

And it is so because hypocrites, religious nut jobs and self righteous pricks wish to impose their ignorant views on everyone.

It is a marketing strategy by some insincere "churches", but no real Christian can condone at will abortion homicides.

Yeah, like availability of safe abortion would somehow bring big trouble for a nation...

It is not up to YOU to judge whether someone is sufficiently "Christian" to warrant being called Christian.

Yeah, like there is an epidemic of unsafe, illegal abortions in this country. I just saw a doctor chasing a woman down a back alley with a coat hanger in his hand just yesterday.

I mean worldwide. Unsafe abortions are rampant in third world countries. You do know the Red Cross is International right?

No, of course not, it is up to the individual to decide if he is Christian or not. All that is required of Christians is to profess a belief in Jesus as Christ. It is up to the individual to determine what actions are approved or disapproved by Christianity (unless the Christian is Catholic, in which case an authority decides).

Lefties are so prone to speak of things they know nothing about as if they are experts.

There is a Bible that contains teachings that make up Christianity. Wantonly killing children in utero is inconsistent with them.

The Bible speaks not at all of "children in utero" or abortion. Trying to make some other pronouncements mean what you want is just your own interpretation or distortion. Since God didn't speak about abortion, it's not necessary for you to do so.

Again, the topic or issue is ABORTION, take your idiocy and at least post it in the appropriate forum.

This would be a blatant violation of the hippocratic oath. Legal action should be taken.

Well you're more than welcome to hire some lawyers and start suing the non-profit organization.

Or you could do what your fellow lifers are doing and protest them by not donating to their charity.

How so, it is an organization, more over last time I looked the oath was not legally binding? Of course if you can find some violation of law, you should definitely report it to the appropriate law enforcement agency.

If Catholic organisations stopped opposing birth control, we could.
