FoxHastings said: ↑ What?! Care to explain that....someone else should decide another's burden ? WHO judges whether it's "fair and impartial" ? YOU???? The person responsible, the person whose life will be affected, is the one to make the decision. Or , are you insinuating that women can't make decisions for themselves like men can? If a man is going to suffer through a burden should others decide his fate ??? What life decisions can I make for YOU ?
Those opposing abortion because of religious faith* cannot make fair and impartial decisions. *Christians are more likely to have abortions then those practicing other religions.
Why is there an American flag in your photo....you don't believe in bodily autonomy nor freedom and liberty and that's what America is all about. And where's that issue of "free will" Christians like to talk about? Down the toilet???
Why? How? You are seriously saying that EVERY person on earth who faces a serious burden should be reviewed before being allowed to make a decision??!! OMGAWD! HILARIOUS!!
That depends on whether I have any life decisions to make doesn't it. In the real world, lots of decisions get made for you.
I don't remember anything in the Declaration of Independence or the U.S. Constitution about "bodily autonomy". Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. "free will" refers to being free to follow God or reject him. It isn't open ended.
You're quibbling now BEFORE you were talking about women contemplating abortion NEEDING outsiders to make her decision.....now you 're talking decisions in general. BTW, EVERYONE has important life decisions to be made and you did NOT answer the question: Should I make YOUR life decisions for you?
Dayton3 said: ↑ A person who is going to have to suffer through a burden will naturally have biases in one direction and not make a fair and impartial decision""" Any decisions where you would "suffer through a burden". And why are you limiting decisions? Do you want a law to state what decisions are fair game and which aren't? WOW, you seem to like BIG government.... The POINT is I do NOT want to make YOUR decisions for you....we all should have the FREEDOM to make our own decisions.
Dayton3 is simply irked that abortion is a regulated right recognized by SCOTUS, and he is further irked what he thinks about it means nothing really to the world. If Roe v Wade were overturned, the GOP would disappear in the next election at the fed and state levels, and the following year the Constitution would be amended to provide abortion on demand. Dayton3 needs to be very careful about what he says he wants.
Men should have the same right to walk away from parenthood that women have period. A woman can be unsolved from the responsibility of parenthood due to financial instability yet if a man were to say the same a judge would say too bad and throw him in jail
That would never happen. If Roe v. Wade was overturned elective abortions would still be legal for probably about half of all American women. So though liberals love to vent over the possibility of Roe v. Wade going down, it wouldn't have a horrendously big impact.
Soccer and working Mom America do not think like you, Dayton3, and they would laugh at what you are writing. They would blame the GOP and destroy in their female wrath. If you think not, all you do is show just how far out of touch you are with modern America.
Which YOU don't get to set Women are free to do as they please when it comes to their own bodies They sure don't need YOUR input on life decisions...
I do want to mention, I think we over generalize about that 16 year old girl and that 17 year old boy. We can't decide that they can't successfully raise a baby either. It is going to depend largely on their families/ friends collective ability to support, on some government, or private systems of support, and their own personal commitments to work very hard, and grow up very quickly and a distinctive absence of 'distractions' such as addiction or crime. I think we get a bit jaded sometimes with our own more cynical perspective and that leads to an overabundance of negativity that can lead to a lack of confidence, when that is not what they should get as they struggle here. A lot of great things and fine success stories, have come from young naïve and teen parents, whether they stay together or separate.
Makes sense that why women like the governor of Alabama doesn't agree with you, unless your saying if she doesn't have the Democratic view on abortion she is no longer a woman.
Lots of "ifs" in that scenario.... ….and many lives and dreams are curtailed by having kids too young....
You wouldn't be passing judgement on what a woman who is pregnant decides to do with that fetus, now would you? You sure would not want to generalize or stereotype her either, riiight?
FoxHastings said: ↑ Lots of "ifs" in that scenario.... ….and many lives and dreams are curtailed by having kids too young.... Uh, I think you are stretching....no where in that post did I indicate I was judging or stereotyping anyone. I stated facts. Did I say something like, " ALL women who have kids too young are wrong" ???? No, I did not.
