zoom_copter66, look at what scenario the war will start. Surely Bloomberg already has a ready-made note for any occasion.

    .

That's logical but what's not is why you would give away what you know in the first place.

Let the Russians do their false flag, then expose it.

This assumes you have irrefutable evidence that such a thing was planned. If you don't you have the possibility of the deception being turned on you,

Which may be what is happening here.

False flags are an old and well-known war tactic, indeed WWII began with one by the Germans on the Poles. What doesn't make sense is why you would use one here at all. Putin has all the "justification" for any invasion he needs, which is to say none at all. (The one beginning WWIl was the same, it fooled no-one and one to wonder if it was even meant to)

Why not just let Putin have his war and get on with it? All he'll get is a bigger conflict than the low grade one he already has with what looks like sponsoring the Russian version of a Biker riot without motorcycles. There is actually a good possibility that he'll lose and then we likely won't have to deal with him at all.

I watched that last night - doesn't get much more depressing - what clowns these guys are. The seasoned and well known reporter just kept asking "what evidence do we have" .. Ned kept dodging saying "Just believe us" basically .. reporter kept askiing .. when Ned gets backed into the corner Ned goes off on Ad Hom attack - questioning the reporters Patriotism.

Did you catch the part where he stated "still waiting for the evidence for chemical attack in Syria"

No one was asking How we got the information .. what was being asked was do we have any evidence. And the claim that releasing such evidence would tell how found out about it .. is a nonsense trope used all the time .. still waiting for "The Evidence" from things that happened 50 years ago ... "Classified"

Much of this has to do with the horrible track record -- where we find out after the fact that our beloved leaders were lying again.

One has to consider the motivation for releasing the information. I have an opinion but I'm not going to share it. Let me just say I wouldn't believe anything this government says without private sector confirmation. I think you can go away with confidence that this was an invention.

Important note: Putin is NOT waging war. War propaganda comes from the West.

If Ukriana does not make a provocation in the Donbass, then probably never.

What kind of "provocation"? Trying to take back their own land from Kremlin-backed separatists? Or perhaps one of the false flag attacks that your dear leader has been cooking up?

indeed, if the Ukrainian military tries to take back Ukrainian territory from the Russian-speaking terrorists, Russia will see this as a provocation and STEAL more Ukranian land.

I didn't say that. Russians do not engage in fake provocations. This is not typical of the Russian mentality. But for the West, a false flag is a favorite hobby and they have been caught on this more than once ...

The land is already Ukrainian - it does not need to be recaptured. You again speak only about the land, forgetting about the people. And Russia will not allow genocide in the Donbass.
Russia does not need Ukrainian land. There is more land of your own than can be inhabited by people.
