    Russia...disarming Russia.

It'll be interesting to see how they deal with this set back. Can't prop up the ruble forever.

You have an American drone factory on fire. But instead of putting out the fire, you write ridiculous comments.
By the way, it is impossible to get an answer from you - how many inhabitants are there in Latvia today? Are RAF and VEF factories operating? What was the inflation rate in 2022?
How is life in Jurmala today? During Soviet times, Jurmala was considered a very prestigious place.

Biggest Upgrade In History? Russia To Reactivate 800 Cold War-Era T-62 Tanks Amid Depleting Arsenal

    Europe
    By Tanmay Kadam
    October 14, 2022
The Russian military intends to reactivate and upgrade some 800 Soviet-era T-62 tanks in the next three years to balance its significant losses in the ongoing Ukraine war.

Andrey Gurulyov, a retired Russian general turned politician, who is currently a deputy of the lower house of Russia’s parliament, or Duma, said on his Telegram post on October 12 that he recently undertook a tour of the 103 Armored Repair Plant in the country’s Far Eastern Transbaikal Krai region.

The 103 Armored Repair Plant is a subsidiary of Russia’s state-owned conglomerate UralVagonZavod, the country’s leading tank manufacturer. Gurulyov also posted a video of his visit to the plant showing employees working on T-62s.

The decision to reactivate and upgrade a Cold War-era relic of a tank suggests that the Western sanctions are affecting Russia’s defense industry, as has been reported by several media reports since the start of the Ukraine conflict.

T 62 in the amount of 800 pieces? This is wonderful. Also modernized. This will be a great addition to Infantry fighting vehicle.
This is good news for the Russians.
And considering that Russia has 13,300 tanks in service, these 800 tanks are a good addition. https://inews.co.uk/news/world/russ...rmoured-forces-ukraine-nato-explained-1504470

That's a lot of future scrap! Or would be if it were all in working order and actually sent to Ukraine. But your army is nowhere near the same in reality as it appears to be on paper. This war has clearly demonstrated that.

No. Russia did have 12,000-13000 tanks in reserve aka sitting in muddy fields for 30 plus years with little or no maintenance being performed on most of them. Result? Based on estimates made by observers who used satellite imagery to assess the status of all those tanks? Perhaps 3000 could be returned to service . The rest? were fit only for scrap or spare parts. Endemic corruption is a bitch don't you know.

Now lets look at the real numbers. Russia started the war with aprox 3400 active duty tanks. To date aprox 2000 of those have been accounted for. Oryx has conservatively counted aprox 1700 tanks as visually destroyed, captured or abandoned/damaged.) The rest? Allow 10-20% for vehicles destroyed or damaged on the Russian side of the lines and you get close to the 2000 figure.

Add in the fact that Russia is putting T62s and T64s into active duty? Your left with a picture of a nation that is scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Ahaha .... Are you a member of the Russian General Staff? Or are you a Mossad agent?
How do you know what condition the Russian tanks are in?
The Russians have grinded all the Ukrainian weapons, they have ground almost all the Soviet-style weapons that NATO imbeciles bought all over the world. And now this parody of a military bloc (NATO) is trying to find at least a few working tanks throughout Europe. :roflol::roflol::roflol:

Why Russian T-90 Tank Absolutely SUCKS

One of the good things about fighting Russia as opposed to most other countries is that they're self-demilitarizing by virtue of their sheer incompetence.

    1) Satellite imagery showing the vehicles in question being left in situ (not being moved) for years on end. Tanks like any complex piece of machinery require maintenance and if it's not performed they become inoperable. Most of those tanks have been left to rot for 20 years or more. Try leaving your car in a muddy field unattended for even 2 years and see how well it runs!

    2) Russia is pushing T-62's and T-64's into front line service. (FACT - anyone can see the imagery). Both are supposed to be relic systems. The fact they're being pushed into service indicates Russia doesn't have the enough usable, more complex vehicles (T-72's and T-80's) in serviceable condition to use in their place.

See! ;) It's easy if you have more than half a brain. Oh, I've just realized what I said. Sorry for offending you. It's obviously not your fault you missed the bleeding obvious.

It is worth remembering that many former workers at Putin's troll farms have been interviewed by journalists outside Russia and they all reported that fake troll accounts were communally used by troll farm employees. Different employees would be assigned to post propaganda on different shifts on different days. So one give away is an account suddenly doesn't remember what they posted a few hours before (much less the previous day) because different people are using the sock account.

    Just FYI.

Just in captured Russian equipment Ukraine has more tanks and armored vehicles than they started the war with. Fact. Add in the donated eastern European stuff and the coming western stuff and, well, it is not looking for Russia and their obsolete junkyard tanks.

Exactly! Thousands of young Russians already left Russia to countries which are owned by Russia, and according to different sources 200 thousands of Russian soldiers already are in paradise, which Russia owns too.

2 million young Russians have left Russia. Mostly young males. All in the last year. Remember they only had 8 million males between 18-30 before Putin's invasion.

So you think Russia's tank stockpiles can't be seen from space and it isn't putting T-62s and 64's back into front line service - despite evidence to the contrary being freely available on line?

Fascinating, when you can't deny points raised by other posters your 'go to' response is to mock them. Not prove them wrong, just mock. You really are an intellectual light weight aren't you? Totally nekul'turnyy.

Have you given any consideration to the fact that a war that was suppose to take a couple weeks is now almost a year long? Why is that? Could it be that very poor planning left a convoy of tanks stranded on the road in the beginning? How many top Generals have been killed or demoted? Why are desertions of the troops so high? Now they want to add 800 more obsolete tanks? If the Ukrainian's are taking out Russia's top tanks what makes you think the the old reworked ones won't just be cannon fodder? What are they going to conscript a bunch of 70 & 80 year olds to command them? It must be a great honor to be a supporter of a country that laid waste to a civilian population and destroyed all the infrastructure. Even if they win those lands in a peace agreement what have they won? Rubble? The Ukrainian's remind me of the English during WWll and their tenacity to withstand the Nazi bombings or the French resistance or the Polish stand for freedom. All wars are not won with planes or tanks or even armies.

Russia attacking Alaska and California? LOL . If you think Russia can beat NATO then the illusion of Dreams is yours. Do you know that the USA has more than enough guns for every man, woman and child. Don't be disillusioned by the internal squabbling of our different political groups or races and genders, in the time of crisis, we all will fight.
