And why do you think we're debating it ? Its because Islam is supremacist. It attempts to put its ideology and doctrine above our US Constitution, and our laws, and to push its culture upon us. This is Islamization, and that is what the quiz is about. Get it ?

There is no need to ban a religion to preserve the Constitution. In fact, banning a religion violates the 1st Amendment. You have big problem here.

I honestly don't see what the problem is. Everything tries to convey it's cultures and customs on us. If the Mexican family down the street celebrates Cinco De Mayo, are they trying to push their culture and ideology on us? When Christians (like me) celebrate Christmas, does that mean that we are trying to push our ideologies and culture on anyone? No.

Let them celebrate their customs and and we can celebrate ours. Just because they have a different way of life doesn't mean we need to ban them.

Edit: And yes, object227 is absolutely spot on when he says it's illegal. I'm sure that will end this little debate. Not.

It's easy to simplify a very large and complex issue down by mentioning just one little facet of it. What about blind people not being able to take cabs ? What about other people with dogs not being able to get cabs also ? And people with alcohol ? And what about all the University of Michigan students who are having their tuitions raised, while the university is shelling out thousands of $$$ to appease Muslims, with foot-washing basins and prayer rooms ? Traveling all over countries in the Middle East, I didn't see one single foot-washing basin (B.G.)
And how about the Imams raising a ruckus on their planes, and inconveneincing passengers ? And public loudspeakers blasting Muslim prayers in the city streets 5 times a day. You think Us citizens should have to listen to all that racket ? And how about Muslim praying on sidewalks and streets, and blocking traffic in New York ? New York today. Your town tomorrow. And how about .................................thousands more things ? ...............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

I still don't see why we need to ban them entirely from the entire country. Sometimes teenagers drive their cars by my house blaring hip-hop and rap music at 3am. Maybe we should ban teenagers.

You seem to have heard of the U.S. Constitution as you cited it in your post. I think you have -- hopefully -- just answered your own question.

The links in post 4 SHOW YOU WHAT THE PROBLEM IS (or at least a tiny bit of it just to get you started). Sure you don't see the problem. Because you haven't done your homework on it, and if you tried to take the QUIZ in post # 97, you'd probably get a 5% or less, just like all the other Islamapologists who took it. Yeah, well you might not see what the problem is some bacterial invasion either, if you didn't research it much. Then you'd probably say : "I honestly don't see what the problem is."

How much of the Quiz can you ID ? If you can't ID much of it, that's why you can't see the problem. You don't know it exists.

Yeah, if they had a seditious, supremacist ideology, but they don't.

Regardless, freedom of association is guaranteed by the Constitution.

Merely wishing to instill a particular belief does not constitute an act of sedition.

Your problem is entering this thread late, while not having read all the previous post on the previous pages, and not realizing that your post here (# 103) has already been mentioned about 10 times, and answered 10 times. Look it up.

Indeed. Somebody else agreed with you as well:

    1. No it isn't + same answer as post 113. The Constitution does not guarantee anything which seeks to be supreme over it (indeed it abolish it). To the contrary it forbids those things (no exceptions).

    2. Islam is being pushed by the Muslim Brotherhood which seeks to destroy Western civilization, and that of North America (USA & Canada in particular). That is sedition, pure and simple.

I agree. I hope you will also agree with me that that argument should also be applied to Christianity -- or any other brand of religion for that matter.

I think there is quite a wide gulf (no pun) between practicing Islam and establishing Sharia law. I am not going to pretend to be an expert on Sharia, but from what I understand, almost any attempt to infuse even a hint of it into the body politic through the legislative process would be quickly overruled by the Constitution.

Though entertaining, the OP is merely so much tilting at windmills.

So how would you go about "banning Islam" as you suggest? Would the Koran be illegal? Would you tear down the Mosques? Would you require Muslim women to wear blue jeans? I'm curious to hear your plan.

The Constitution is a restriction on government, not individuals and private entities. There is nothing in the Constitution that specifies how individuals and private entities ought to behave, think, or act.

Okay then protectionist, you ask your lawmaker to propose an amendment to the constitution banning outright the Islamic faith. While you're at it, ask him/her to ban all religions, beliefs, and customs because they "instil their culture on us".

This thread has nothing to do with banning any religion. It is about banning Islam, which is an ideology, not a religion.

It's obvious how Islam came to be purported as a "religion". When the founders of it were espousing imperialist genocidal mass murder, extreme misogyny, pedophilia, kidnapping/slavery, torture/mutilation, racial and sexist discrimination, and other vile things, and were looking for troops to join them in their conquests throughout Asia Minor, they needed something very powerful and extreme to offset and shield them from the severe condemnation they were sure to get.
The answer was religion. By pretending that the Koran, and all of its hatred and immorality was the word of God, they forced the people to accept it. After all, nobody wants to go against God do they ? As this grandiose con job spread, over time it became deeper and deeper entrenched as a religion, and more and more difficult to abolish or reform, especially when the Muslim marauders spreading it were killing 270 million people around the world to do that.
The sad thing is that unlike the Christian Reformation, reform hasn't occured with Islam. Over the 1400 year history of this abomination, not one word of the Koran has been changed.

No, the reason I can't see the problem is not because I'm pretending it doesn't exist, it's just that I find it hard to believe that because there are some crazies mixed in, that makes a religion that over a billion people follow dangerous. If ten Christians plan on banning everything that isn't allowed in the bible, does that mean that all 1.5 billion or so Christians are dangerous people trying to destroy our rights?

This arguement you're trying to make is a fallacy.

You don't get. LOL. Are you familiar with the seditious documents of the Muslim Brotherhood ? We're not talking about Sharia law being infused into the "body politic through the legislative process", we're talking about the body politic and its legislative process being destroyed and eliminated entirely. Get to know the documents and the subject matter before you enter this thread and speak, and that goes for a lot of the rest of you as well.

I don't support the Government banning anything in terms of beliefs. What is amazing is that people embrace Islam, as it does not appear to fit with the American experience and culture in a meaningful way.
