You need a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing wiki to learn how to do a dependency test? Are you trying to prove that you know jack?

    - - - Updated - - -

Statistical dependency is not an opinion.

Are you denying the deffinition of statistical dependency?

Bottom line you are simply refusing to admit simple facts.

    You didnt think this through......

If gaydom is a choice, then they also voluntarily chose to never get married, and no discrimination could be possible, because they chose their life style.

You are actually doing a great disservice to the LGBT community.

may god have mercy on your soul

Nope. I'm asking for you to show me.

I haven't seen any. Are you refusing to produce them?

I accept the definition. That was never my point of contention. It was your claims about gay people being molested as children.

    - - - Updated - - -

Not that they were taken seriously in the first place.

I can't agree with this. Many of humanity's vast array of dysfunctions lead to negative outcomes, yet we still do them. We can just as easily say "do you think that if being an alcoholic was a choice, I'd choose to be an alcoholic?" while we slowly die from liver failure. Negative outcomes have never stopped us 'choosing' to do stupid things. I can't imagine why you think this argument supports your position. It actually does the opposite.

Meantime, it's a self-righteous posturing to declare that disinclination to believe homosexuality is genetic is down to a superiority complex. I know GAY people who don't believe it. You really need to get out more, and talk to people on the other side of the fence once in a while.

No gay people are statistically more likely to have been molested as children.

Science doesn't point to there being no god. Science points to there be no proof of a god. There is a difference.

Also, there is no reason to hate people for being different. Live and let live, on BOTH sides.

You know gay people that don't believe it? Well, we have hammered the idea that it is a choice into them all their lives, and I'm sure many are still hoping that it is a choice- they are desperately in need of a way to escape the social hell that prejudice has kept them in. Some have to hope that somehow they will find out how to "choose" to change it. I have never heard of one who has actually succeeded. Thousand have faked it, and they will tell you it's a choice, because to admit it's not is to accept life in hell forever They get married, they pretend- and they are miserable inside. None have actually done it, in my experience or that of those professionals I've discussed this with.

How would I know any of this? Perhaps like having a gay son whom I have watched struggle with this for 50 years? Or knowing his various friends, and being able to talk to a variety of them far more openly than most ever have?

Alcoholism is not altogether a choice, either. Such people have a predisposition to addictive behavior- and they drink to avoid certain aspects of responsibility, or they use other substances to do the same thing. As I have taught the skill of mind development professionally- teaching people how to use their brains like a precision tool instead of a club- and taught all kinds of people from management groups of fortune 500 companies to recovering addicts to psychologists, consider the possibility that I just might know something about this. The way we see things is limited by our own position. Having discussed this with dozens of psychologists and doctors, I have yet to meet one (at least in the last 30 years) who still believes it is a choice. You see I have "gotten out", and apparently a hell of a lot more than you.

So long as you believe that your opinion is so logical it can't be wrong, you will believe what is wrong. If there is one thing I learned in teaching mental skills, it is that nobody can change the mind of a person who is not ready to change.

Stuff and nonsense, since the word wasn't being applied to you in the first place. Your faux outrage is noted and dismissed.

Nope, that's a case of you assigning an opinion to the "LGBT lobby" (apparently a strawman of your own creation). And then assigning that same opinion to a person who has said nothing of the sort whatsoever.

    That's dishonest.

Arguably, molesters pick their victims based on access and vulnerability. People of same-sex orientation often know they're more attracted to members of their own sex well before they reach an age wherein that attraction takes on the added dimension of an interest in sexual behavior. The shaming of that difference makes them more vulnerable to exploitation at the hands of a molester. Molesters are expert at picking victims they can manipulate. Fear and shame make excellent tools for a molester to exploit.

The people who go around shaming and abusing people because of their difference in orientation are actually contributing to the problem. Children are far from immune. We learn early that the difference we possess makes us unwanted and likely to be rejected by society.

Which does not mean that all gay people were molested, nor does it mean that molestation is what makes them gay, your manipulation of statistics to pretend something that isn't true notwithstanding.

I never said that all gay people were molested. I don't put environmental as one cause. There are many environmental factors that can cause a homosexual preference. You will notice that may example of the Samoan fa'afafine was completely ignored by you and yours. Are you trying to argue that almost all the youngest male children raised as fa'afafine were genetically gay. Please that is false on its face.

As for playing with statistics you don't know jack. We are not dealing with simple spurious correlation when talking about dependencies of large populations. You are dealing with populations in the millions and hundreds of millions. The probability of a spurious dependency in such a large population is infinitesimally small.

No I'm not. The evil pedophiles are saying that the kids wanted it.

You have already Googled it you know it's true. You are just asking for what you already know is fact as am argumentative ploy.

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19130206

Of course you already knew this.

I wouldn't expect heterosexual abuse to lead a woman to become a homosexual while homosexual abuse of a boy could. Seems to be virtually 100% effective in the Sambia tribe.
