http://on.msnbc.com/KO1Gc7 Mike Huckabee and the republicans never know when to keep their mouth's shut when it comes to women and their reproductive rights. Here's just another example of how they try and reverse the argument by saying they are "for women" by insulting their intelligence, creating that same old tired argument about how the government shouldn't be promoting sex by providing women birth control. And then taking away their freedoms by having birth control, instead of having the freedom to exercise their social conservative preferences. The problem is, Huckabee never bothered asking them if they wanted the freedom to be deprived of birth control to conform to the social religious conservative preference he assumes they want. Planting nonsense in their heads, just shows how manipulative the right has become. Not to mention the condescending attitude towards women with their own dose of propaganda.

And in time, they will lose it, handily. Women are about to turn on conservatism... mainly because it has become too extreme.

Losing and losing even more, won't win many elections. Drowning in your own failing ideology, willfully, is just kamikaze politics. I fail to see the point.

Wait a minute Mr. Troll/Flame...... The argument isn't outlawing birth control that I've ever seen...... The argument is WHO should pay for it.

Why should I have to pay for birth control because some fluzie wants to go to the local bar and put her slut face on?

With freedom comes RESPONSIBILITY. Start practicing it and buy yourself some friggin birth control already!

Sometimes it just looks to me as though they (the extremists) are literally obsessed with having their own way.

People's rights are not and cannot always be defined by what the majority thinks/believes is right.

Often, the things we don't want, don't like or don't believe in personally... have 'zero' bearing upon the rights and liberties of others. (Religion, is probably the most contentious example of what I'm trying to illustrate.)

So now people having to pay for their own birth control is the same as depriving them of it? Am I being deprived of food and shelter because I buy groceries and pay rent. Maybe the government should come along and save me.

In my line of work women are too stupid to even consider birth control. But hey look, somehow they were able to score that new iphone 6 that just came out never mind taking a trip to the local clinic or OBGYN!! Priorities. People just don't have them today. But hey, let's blame the right.

I've got 6 withdrawing newborns on my unit because their mothers were doing pot, meth, and heroin during pregnancy. So *******s, the problem lies with the women. Not the right. Cause unless you force birth control, these women will never use it. That includes the girls ages 13-17 who frequently pop out a few kids here as well. And it's sometimes not their first rodeo if you know what I mean.

Why don't MEN take more RESPONSIBILITY for not impregnating women?

This hypocritical BS that many guys 'talk'... really needs to take a rest in our society.

Well of course. The progressive codeword for "extremist" is ANYONE who proposes any kind of personal responsibility as opposed to something REAL extremist such as nanny state government.

I wonder why the religious right wants to control womens' bodies so much. They want to deny women access to birth control and then punish them by shaming them if they get pregnant.

Calling women "beggars" who are loose isn't going to convince women that the Republican party aren't perpetuating a war on women.

Both sides lie and manipulate to try to convince people their way is the best way. the biggest lie the left has going is that this a *war against women* simply not the case, but it is a catchy little phrase that gullible people eat up like candy. Oh the right is against abortion, of course they are against women. Oh the right is against raising the minimum wage, of course they are against the poor. Not the case at all.

Condom failure rates are about 16% in practice rather than the lab. Eerily enough about the same chnaces of a bad outcome as you'd get when plying Russian roulette. Probably has something to do with that when properly used caveate when the users are two overheated libidos in the back seat of a car.

Sorry, the game the right started cannot be won. There is no reason for the left to say much of anything on this matter. As long as Mike Huckabee and friends are out there injecting trickery aimed at women, thinking they aren't smart enough to know what they want to do with their bodies, is a game that will take care of itself. The left knows that. This foolish propaganda of spreading his religion around through politics will go no where fast.

    It seems you are wrong.

In the link Huckabee is not argueing against birth control but against government provided, which means tax payer funded, birth control.

Much like the argument within the controversy of abortion. Many people are not opposed to a womans right to purchase an abortion but only opposed the government providing said service on the tax payers dime.

How in hell can you say that when Liberals climbed all over Palin for having a child with a defect she knew even before it was born. You people condemned the hell out her for not aborting it? Now you want to condemn Cons by saying we don't think women are smart enough to know what to do with their own bodies? A little two faced isn't it?

When I'm out committing adultery, I like to feel secure enough that the woman has had access to birth control regardless of her ability to pay for it.

Yeah, I've got some news for you that you people really seem to have a hard time grasping. Your "reproductive rights" kill millions of girls every year in the name of women's rights. There is nothing anywhere in the entire Republican platform that can even compare to that kind of war on women. You are literally murdering them before they are even old enough to have rights. So cry me a river. You are your own cause's worst enemy. You truly want to support women's rights? Stop killing little girls.
