There are millions of Catholics and older people out there that don't need contraception. Why should our rates go up to provide others contraception for their sex life? I don't ask you to subsidize my bowling. Pay for your own contraception and give us ten bucks off our premiums.

DUH!!! And you fail to understand that it is none of your business!!! Let me put this to you so you might understand, how about we pass legislation to cut off all male dicks, or cut your balls off, or prevent you from being with women until your 90? How about that? What part of it is none of your business that you don't understand?? Do you think the whole world was meant to revolve around you because you got a dick? THINK!!!

No, in general they have not been doing that. (True.)

That is nonsense. And Lord knows, you couldn't come close to proving such a claim.

However, it is the platform and policies of the Left which appeal to the most women and for good reasons. It does not take a social or political genius to realize and understand that women want options, freedoms and liberties. The Right is dictating some amazingly closed-minded, bigoted and sexist BS. Women don't generally WANT what Conservatives and the GOP are 'propagating'.

It's not about the Left projecting the notion that they "care", it is about the ideas and values they support which APPEAL to women.

The are situations where that should be a woman's choice. That is 'debatable', yes. But can you NOT see how some women may want or need that choice? If you cannot, then that is why you don't understand what I'm trying to communicate. YOU and people who think the way you do, WANT to be able to DEMAND of women, things you would likely never demand of men (if there were but an equivalent).

Really, how would you feel about a DNA REGISTRY, where every young man of age, has his genetic code identified and MATCHED to his name/ID? Then, whenever his genetic material is shown to be associated with a certain pregnancy... he is also RESPONSIBLE to the State to support the care and nurturing of that 'pregnancy'. We literally have that technology available to us.

Where is the RIGHT of a male to impregnate a female and not be DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE for what his genetic material has led to?? Where is the LOBBYING for legislation to foster such 'responsibility'?
That is, if some might EXPECT or DEMAND that a woman carry a fetus to full-term... then why would it NOT be fair/just to DEMAND that a man/male contribute to the outcome of his actions/choices??!!

That is what BATS DOWN that silly notion of "sperm-donor has rights"; my ass, they do.

That is untrue; and you really should know better in 2013.

No, you are speaking from your BIASES, not the reality that many women face.. every day.

Hehe, "conservatives" doubling down on ignorance, I see. I'm sure that even staunch female conservatives cringe when they read (*)(*)(*)(*) like this.

    Keep up the good work!

I see we have flushed out Mike Huckabees poster boy for disrespect on women. Huckabee would be proud. Way to go fellows. Your war continues. Every time I think of birth control I always think of Fluzzies, bars, and calling women sluts. Personal problems with women you say?

At this point... I couldn't have said it anymore nicely.

I'm TIRED of this false piety, pseudo religion and hypocritical crap that lately seems to FLOW from the ideological idiocy of extremists and fundamentalists on the Right. :(

No, you want us to subsidize your roads, why should people who don't use roads pay for you? Why should people have to fund the VA for you? Why should I have to fund the stores you shop in? I only want to only to fund the ones I shop in. Waaa waaa, this baby selfishness is really getting tiresome. You are either an American, part of WE THE PEOPLE, or you are not and don't belong here.

You are lying like a poorly made rug. Do you by any chance have a few links to these "liberals" who were calling for Palin to abort the child?

Geesh... the desperate regressives seem to completely make their own reality up as they go along these days.

    Nope. .. that is wrong!

The Left has its share of billionaires. . . the difference is what they DO with their billions:

The Koch brothers use their billions to BUY our government and thus to influence laws that allows them to become even richer and to increase the income inequality divide.

The Gates and Buffets of this world use their billions to create a better world, both inside and outside the US, for disenfranchised people and to boost the ability of poor youths to get an education.

    VERY different!

Another exemple: look at the difference between the hierarchy of Wallmart and Costco.

There are millions of young men, who do not need medication treat erectile dysfunction... and why would they be paying for others to receive it?

And those people with awesomely great family histories concerning 'hernias' should get a hernia discount too... right?

    What you're suggesting is nonsense.

As far as abortion goes it's not a matter of whether they know what to do with their bodies or not. It's about the life inside. Religion I agree has no place in politics. Hard to make a sound argument when all you do is preach religion.

When I'm paying for it, it's my business pal. You can be anyone you want. You can go out and screw anyone you want as long as it isn't anyone in my family. But don't exect me to help pay for it.

In Obama's health plan, if the insurance companies lose money, the government will make up part of that loss up to 80%. If the loss goes over a certain amount, the government will pay all that loss. Guess where the government gets that money besides China?

Don't tell me it's none of my business when my premiums go up to subsidise your sex life or you now want to become a girly man. Pay for it yourself.

Do you remembr what those famous words JF Kennedy said about don't ask what your country can do for you? I wass a Democrat back then and that was the Party I looked up to. But it's nothing like that today. I'm like what Reagan said. I didn't leave the Democratic Party, the Party left me. It is nothing but a money grabbing bunch of lazy people who only want to get all they can and I'm sick of the attitude they have today. You have forgot right from wrong. You have forgot how to do anything for yourself. You have turned everything that as once held decent and dirtied it. You have broken up the family unit and made it unsafe to even walk the streets, park your car or send your kid to school without worrying about them being shot.

You are part of this society... just as the rest of us, pal.

We don't get everything we want either.

Why do you think that birth control is any different than, let's say, your daily statins for cholesterol, or your plavix for blood pressure?
And, you are so uninformed if you believe that it "bleeds insurance companies" to offer coverage for birth control!

What do you think is cheaper for insurance companies? Paying a few dollars a month to cover birth control (especially since they get the advantage of group rate, therefore"special prices" that wouldn't be available to individuals!), or cover the expense of a normal or caesarian section delivery, or. . .much worse. . .intensive care for a premature birth for both the mother and the child?

By the way. . .insurance companies have been covering birth control for EVER. . .it is only this "sudden" desire that the Right has to point finger at Obamacare that has triggered this craziness.

I also note that you have not mentioned anything about the "logic" of covering Cialis and Viagra. . .but not birth control!

You also have not considered that, yes, most of us can afford birth control (especially if we have the "group price"), and we do. . .however, it is PRECISELY the women who would benefit from birth control the MOST who may not be able to afford that expense: THE VERY POOR, the single mothers, and those with already many mouths to feed. So, once again, it is the "poor" who would suffer the most from the silliness of hyper religious morons and the extreme Republicans!

Or. . .do you think that, if a woman can't afford birth control, she should abstain from having sex all together?

Well, guess what: I have been paying for the war in Iraq for the last 12 years, and I will continue to pay for it (to support the damage done to our soldiers during that worthless war) for the rest of my life. . .and I DIDN"T AGREE TO INVADE IRAQ!

I also do not agree that religious institutions should not pay tax. . .except for the money that they receive that goes DIRECTLY to charity, but certainly NOT for the money they receive that allows them to purchase private planes, multi millions homes, and the life style of the rich and famous!

And yet. . .I don't have a choice on that.

    So, what is your point?

No it is required by law now, it never was before Obamacare unless the state mandated it. I have only worked at one place that covered contraceptives. Health insurance is supposed to be for those unexpected high cost procedures medicines not for every day maintenance. The more crap you load in the basket the more expensive it gets and in the long run the more people end up having to pay. Vitamins, contraceptives, over the counter cold medicines etc. have no business being paid for my insurance companies as it just ends up being a drain and an completely unnecessary expense. Not everyone will use them. Why the hell do you think that people are pissed off about mandatory coverage of pregnancy. What the hell are single guys or couples over the age of 50 supposed to do with that?

It's not that. It is that YOU and others leaning "Right" are unreasonably adamant about picking/choosing what should or should not be covered.

But (mark my prediction), it is your type of mindset/attitude that will help usher this nation toward UNIVERSAL healthcare. (It is coming, maybe much sooner than anyone imagines.)
