Pelosi is absolutely right in this.

We've never before had a president ready to work for the defeat of our own democracy.

The president has sworn to uphold the constitution, and instead Trump is working to defeat that constitution and has been shown to be particularly dangerous as he can enlist the support of the Republican party in carrying out that assault.

There were declared objectives of harm against indiviuals, property destruction, etc.. There were bombs involved.

If this attack had come from a foreign source, these domestic terrorists would ALL be in jail or DEAD right now.

I'm sick of the soft peddling. This was an assault on our democracy. These terrorists brought zip ties and attempted to reach our congressmen. There were deaths.

 

Money is one of the few things he doesn't have to worry about. Gullible people have donated over a 1 billion dollars to his campaign fund. Of which I think he still has 900 million left. All of which he gets to keep, thanks to the lies that he has sold his followers.

That "narrative" doesn't even (seriously) exist in the Democratic Party.

The Democratic Party would welcome a Trump 2024 Nomination.

Trump would get destroyed (especially in the Swing States).

And, Trump's Presence at the Top would have an overwhelmingly negative effect on down-ballot candidates.

His calls for action to the terrorists who then broke in to attack congress involved clear calls to action.

In his speech after the main event declare his LOVE for the terrorists - making it clear that his message of violence had not been mistaken.

Trump is on tape attempting to pressure high officials in Georgia to commit crime against our democracy.

BLM / ANTIFA Rioters used Twitter resulting in dozens of deaths, police being murdered, destruction, and assaults on other Citizens by a mile. In fact, you can't really point to what Trump said, without you putting in your own inference as to the meaning, that calls for any riot. However, I can share a speech from that day (prior to riots) where he calls for the opposite.




He then tweeted while the riots were happening, "you have to go home now. We have to have peace, we have to have law and order."

For someone calling for a riot and insurrection, he's really bad at it.

Where did you get the $1B and $900M figures from? I have not seen those in the past but granted, there is so much insanity in the news it likely wouldn’t have been a blip on the radar.

As for him keeping campaign donations, that isn’t easily achieved and definitely isn’t legal as per FEC laws on campaign contributions. His campaign can donate it and then try to fennel it back to him but with the numerous State and Federal lawsuits he will likely be facing... who knows.
