Wake up people, Mother Nature is and always has been out to kill all living beings be it through volcanoes, Ice ages, disease, or whatever else she can throw at us. The only reason any livings things remain is through adaptation.
We can lock ourselves down, seal ourselves in masks and plastic, and make thousands of posts all over the internet but guess what, nearly everyone will sooner or later be exposed to someone or something that is carrying the Chinese virus.

With luck, there will be medications that can ease and shorten the severity of this virus, and maybe someday there may even be a vaccine that can knock it out before mother nature allows it to mutate to another form. Until then, expect the politicians to run around making hit and miss demands on the publics' constitutional rights be it out of fear or purely political reasons, and meanwhile, the economy of the world is being destroyed in the process.

The WHO official that you are misquoting was specifically referring to Sweden as a model for how to operate an economy after it has re-opened. The WHO still believes that Sweden's model of not shutting down was a mistake.

Figures don't lie but liars certainly do figure.

The population density in Sweden is 63/SqM.
The population density in France is 309/Sqm. .

Sweden has suffered a death rate of 3,145 per million. France with 5 times the population density has suffered 2,538 deaths per million, 20% less.

Sweden's numbers are low because of a low population and low population density but their deaths per million is 20% higher that a country with a much higher pure numbers.

actual death count from COVID19 could be as low as 10,000 - 20,000

With the remaining ambiguous deaths related to comorbidity or outright erroneous reporting.

That is a bunch of conspiratorial nonsense. People are dying in their home from Covid-19 and those deaths are not being recorded accurately. The very likely fact is that we are undercounting the number of covid-19 deaths, not overcounting.
