So the first 22,000 signatures are meaningless because without a Ph.D., your opinion is meaningless. And then however many Ph,D,s that have nothing to do with the current research on climate science can be ignored.

In all you probably have a few thousands previously qualified signatures by people NOT working in the field.

But here is the rub: Science doesn't work by petition. If they had a valid argument, they would defeat the climate change paradigm with published papers. They would overwhelm the consensus with a tidal wave of irrefutable facts. But that doesn't happen.

When you don't have a leg to stand on, when you can't get published because you have no work or it is highly flawed, when you have been rejected as a crackpot, sign a petition.

Science works through publication and peer review, not popularity contests.

I liken COVID-19 to HIV and Coronavirus to Aids.

COVID-19; the virus, Coronavirus, the condition.
HIV; the virus, Aids, the condition.

Testing positive for COVID-19 is like testing positive to HIV, imo.

But, I think, COVID-19 stays in your body for like 14 days but HIV is for life?
    IDK.

But that's how I'm viewing COVID-19, like HIV is to Aids, COVID-19 is to Coronavirus.

    Correct me if I'm wrong.

    Yes, you are wrong.

Coronavirus is actually a family of viruses. And Covid-19 is a specific variety of coronavirus. We say "The Coronavirus" because these viruses so rarely impact humans that there really aren't that many others which would result in confusion by simply saying Coronavirus instead of Covid-19.

But again, technically speaking, the pandemic is being caused by Covid-19, which is a specific subtype from the Coronavirus family.
